This grand Edwardian property is situated right on the sea front at Pevensey Bay, a lovely and quiet beach, ideal for walkers and beachcombers. Famed for its wartime Martello Towers, the beach is also a favourite with kite surfers and you may well spot some leaping to the sky from the waves. Those with an interest in history will enjoy a visit to nearby Pevensey Castle, which is managed by English Heritage. The seaside town of Eastbourne is within a 15-minute drive and has everything you would expect from a large seaside town. You could even book into the spa or take afternoon tea at the palatial Grand Hotel.

On your right as you enter the property, is the main lounge, which has double doors opening onto a second lounge. The front room has huge windows looking out to sea and has two large sofas, wood burner and TV with DVD player. The second lounge has a sofa and armchairs, with bookcase and games cupboard. This room leads onto the kitchen/dining room. The fact that the owners are keen cooks is reflected in the kitchen which is the perfect space for entertaining with its island and bar stools, from which other guests can keep the cook company. There is a gas hob, electric oven, microwave and dishwasher. The adjacent dining room has a large wooden dining table, comfortably seating ten and large doors opening onto the courtyard. There is a separate utility room, where you will find the washing machine, dryer and extra sink. Stairs lead to the first floor, where the master bedroom enjoys wonderful sea views from its large bay window. There is a double bed with reclaimed wood headboard. Next to the bedroom is a cosy nook with sofa and a small balcony with table and chairs. The second bedroom on this floor has bunkbeds and is perfect for children. There are also two bathrooms on this floor, one with a bath and the other with large shower. Stairs to the second floor lead to two more bedrooms, one with twin single beds and the other with a double bed, both of these rooms look out to sea.

The property has its own private beach at the front of the house, which has direct access onto the main beach. To the rear of the property is a decked garden with table, chairs and parasol, the perfect spot for catching the evening sun.

We had a super weekend at WaveCrest celebrating my Dad's 70th birthday. A really lovely, spacious and well-equipped house and a great base from which to explore the lovely surrounding areas. We were four generations and an elderly dog and there was plenty of room for us. The kitchen has absolutely everything you could possibly need and the bonus of the utility room, when travelling with small children, was great. The house was perfect for our party of 10. A mixed group of one granny, several twenty somethings, adults and a ten year old. A fantastic, spacious, well equipped house with many little extras. The games cupboard was thoughtful, as was the outside warm shower. The beds were comfy and the towels luxurious. We loved everything about this house, it worked brilliantly for our three families each with a couple of 0-4 year olds. The space meant we could enjoy some dinner and drinks whilst keeping an eye on the toddlers playing. It was perfect being so close to the beach that we could just spill out of the door. Five of us met at Wave Crest for our annual reunion and we had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The house was very comfortable and we really enjoyed the fact that we didn't need to use our cars at all , as we were able to walk or take a bus to various places each day( We do all have the luxury of a bus pass!)We also ate locally each evening . We loved our week at this cottage, especially the immediate access to the beach. The kitchen is fabulous and so well equipped that we wanted for nothing. definitely a five star property!

We had a lovely stay. The house had everything we needed for two families, was fully equipped, very clean and the beds were very comfy. We love Watersports so spent every day in the sea. The outside hot shower was great and the boathouse was perfect for storing all the paddleboards etc. The location is amazing and you can just walk out onto the beaRead morech. The local fish n chip shop, raipur curry house and cafe were lovely. There is lots to do locally for families Hide

We had a fabulous holiday at Wave Crest. The location right on the beach was unbeatable; we loved the sheltered outside eating area and bbq. There was plenty of space for our 3 families. We would definitely come again.

This was our third booking at beautiful Wavecrest. We will be back for a fourth visit, no doubt. We love the location above all, but the house itself is pretty special as well. Masterfully renovated, light, modern but with character. Spacious even for 10 people. Garden and beach equipment are also wonderful. This was a fabulous house for a get-together with the family. We were very lucky with the weather and spent a lot of time on the beach, in the sea and making use of the private beach garden for barbecues and eating out. The house was spacious and the beds were very comfortable - but it is the beach location that makes it really special!

Beautiful family property which was comfortable, light and airy, beautifully clean and well equipped. The kids loved being able to go straight onto the beach and the little beach garden was ideal for a BBQ. We were only there for a weekend but wished it was longer.maybe next time
