Films such as the 1985 Merchant Ivory classic 'Room with a view' and 'Wind in the Willows' have had scenes shot here and the area attracts many artists and keen walkers.

Chiddingstone offers easy access into London being only 30 miles away and easily accessible by car via the M25 or the very efficient rail service from nearby Penshurst Station which is a 5 minute walk from the house and an hour from London.
