Holiday Cottages in Windmill Hill East Sussex

Windmill Hill is nestled in glorious countryside at the foot of the South Downs offering glorious walks and great terrain for cyclists. There are many pretty Sussex villages such as Alfriston with its cobbled streets, quaint shops and tea rooms, Burwash with Bateman's which was home to the famous novelist Rudyard Kipling, and historic Battle, to name a few, all just minutes by car. There are numerous places of interest and beautiful homes to visit including : Michelham Priory, Pevensey Castle, Herstmonceux Castle and the renowned Charleston Farmhouse - home of the Bloomsbury Set with its quirky interior decoration by Vanessa Bell, sister of Virginia Woolf. For younger children, Drusillas adventure park and zoo is the perfect place to let off a little steam and also Knockhatch - another adventure park, but with a dry ski slope for enthusiasts of the sport is close by. Delightful Eastbourne with its award winning beach is only nine miles away with its many attractions including the new contemporary Towner Art Gallery, theatres and breathtaking views of Beachy Head enjoyed whilst walking up on the South Downs. Close by are the seaside towns of Pevensey, Hastings and Bexhill with its award winning De La Warr Pavilion - all waiting to be explored.

Windmill Hill is 45 minutes drive from Brighton with all its shops, bars and restaurants and 2 hours from London.
