This quaint 1930s cottage is located on St Mary’s Bay in Dymchurch, Kent. Within a few minutes’ walk of the sandy beach, it is also close to the shingle beach RSPB reserve at Dungeness. Despite its quiet, rural location St Mary’s Bay is perfect for those looking for some retail therapy, thanks to its location within a 25 minute drive of Rye, famed for its antique shops and welcoming pubs. For families, the one-third size steam engines of the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway depart from close by and Port Lympne Reserve and safari park is just a short drive away.
On arrival at the property you will immediately be struck by the open space and tranquil location. Steps leading up to the front door bring you to the porch, a handy place to leave sandy shoes after a day at the beach. Stepping into the lounge area, with its natural wooden floors and cosy rug, your eye will be drawn to the open views over the garden to the sea. You will also find a woodburner, TV and Wi-Fi. The comfortable kitchen offers a dining table and has all you need to prepare a hearty meal after a day out, including electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. There is a separate larder which houses the freezer and washing machine. The downstairs bedroom can be made up with either a single or double bed and also benefits from those beautiful sea views. Also downstairs are the bathroom, featuring an original roll-top bath and a separate shower room with electric shower. Upstairs you will find the sanctuary-like master bedroom with double bed and, again, more of those sea views. Again the second bedroom enjoys sea views from its twin beds.
Outside the property is surrounded by a wild seaside garden, with a path leading straight down to the promenade and on to the beach. There is a table and chairs in the garden and a BBQ for the perfect end to your day.
