This beautiful cottage is located just outside the picturesque village of Biddenden, with its row of weavers’ cottages and village green. The village is home to several shops, as well as, a tearoom and bistro style restaurant. Just outside the village is Biddenden Vineyard, open daily to the public, this is a lovely place to wander around, before a visit to the shop for wine tasting and refreshments. Sissinghurst Castle, once home to poet and keen gardener, Vita Sackville-West, is within a ten minute drive of the property.
Enter the cottage through the side door, which opens into the welcoming kitchen area, with all the equipment you would expect, including electric oven and hob, small dishwasher, microwave and fridge with ice compartment. There is also a table suitable for two people to dine at, with lovely views across the lake. A door leads from the kitchen to the main lounge and sleeping area, which has large sliding doors, giving access directly onto the lakeside decked area. There is a sofa, TV and DVD and an iPod dock. The sleeping area has one king-size zip-and-link bed which can be set up as two singles upon request. The bed also overlooks the lake, making it a joy to enjoy a coffee in bed whilst enjoying the view. At the far end of the lounge is the bathroom with a walk in shower.
Outside, the lake and its secluded decked area provide a beautiful place to while away an afternoon with a book, with its table, chairs and sun loungers. There is driveway parking for one vehicle.
