This gorgeous hideaway is located in countryside just outside the Wealden village of Benenden in Kent. Benenden is a delightful village, with several pubs, Post Office, village shop and butchers. It is within a 15 minute drive of the interesting town of Tenterden with its high street and lanes full of quirky shops and varied places to eat. Sissinghurst Castle Gardens, once home to Vita Sackville-West is within a ten minute drive and is a lovely day out for keen gardeners or those who just enjoy a leisurely walk.
This beautifully decorated traditional shepherd’s hut is glamping at its finest and makes a beautiful location for a getaway for two. The experience provided is total luxury with all logs supplied for the wood burner and fire pit. The kitchen is small, but perfectly formed with induction hob, mini-fridge, microwave and coffee machine. There is even a Butler’s sink and a wrought iron table and chairs. There is a wonderfully warming woodburner too, which makes the whole hut lovely and cosy, whatever the weather. To the rear of the hut there is a stylish and comfortable double bed with drawers under and even a hair dryer, there is no roughing it here. A window beside the bed affords views to the fields outside, but also has folding shutters to give you privacy. The en-suite shower room has a heated power-shower and WC and just like a high-end hotel, there are even fluffy bathrobes and slippers, as well as complimentary toiletries. A stable door leads outside.
The outside space here is part of the attraction, you have your own private space tucked away in a corner of the owner's immaculate gardens, including a gravelled seating area with fire pit, surrounded by fields of grazing sheep and llamas. There is parking for one vehicle.
