Found right on the seafront at Pevensey Bay, with its quiet and unspoilt shingle beach, this cottage is the perfect base for a seaside getaway. Pevensey Bay is great for all kinds of activities, from gentle strolls to swimming, sailing and even fishing. The next town over, Pevensey, can be reached on foot, and is home to an impressive castle now looked after by English Heritage. Further along the coast, you’ll find the larger coastal resorts of Eastbourne and Bexhill-on-Sea, where you can enjoy a classic seaside day out exploring their piers and esplanades.
After taking a few steps up to the property’s front door, you enter the property and arrive in a small hallway, which provides space for storing shoes and hanging up coats. To the left of the hallway, you can walk through into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, a lovely and relaxing space boasting panoramic sea views. Guests can choose to sit back on the sofas and chairs by the woodburner or sink into a bean bag in front of the TV. The dining area easily seats eight and promises amazing views out into the beach garden and beyond as you tuck into your breakfast or evening meal, while you can also dine at the breakfast bar in the kitchen area, with its two stools. Also in the kitchen area, you’ll find everything you need to feel at home, including an electric oven and induction hob, fridge/freezer, Nespresso coffee machine and cafetiere, dishwasher and washer/dryer. There are three comfortable bedrooms: a king-size, a double, and a bunk bedroom, which has two sets of bunk beds. There is also a bathroom with a bath, shower, and WC, as well as a further separate WC.
From the lounge, the bi-fold doors open out onto a decking area, furnished with a table and chairs as well as a BBQ, perfect for dining al fresco on a summer night. At the end of the garden is a gate which gives guests direct access to Pevensey Bay’s beach.
