The delightful seaside town of Whitstable offers a wonderful shopping experience with both independent and traditional high street shops. A selection of fine dining establishments lines the colourful high street, along with various bohemian cafes and pubs. Especially popular are the many restaurants and stalls selling the area's resident star, the humble oyster. Celebrated every year at the hugely famous Oyster Festival held in July, you can sample them at many places in the town. Hire a bike and follow the Crab and Winkle Way, or take a ride along the coast of Herne Bay with its colourful beach huts. You will find a mountain of activities for both adults and children in Whitstable or just enjoy a day out at the beach where you can try your hand at lots of different watersports including windsurfing, kite surfing and sailing. The nearby city of Canterbury is well-known for its elegant Cathedral and is famous as the place from where the local sea salt was transported by sea to distant lands.
After entering the property, you will immediately be greeted by the small hallway where you can leave your shoes and coats. The cosy lounge has two comfortable sofas as well as an armchair to sit in whilst reading a favourite book by the woodburner. There is also a TV with DVD player. Heading into the open-plan kitchen/diner from the hallway, you will find a table and six chairs, perfect for entertaining the whole family. Here children can play as you cook in the well-equipped, bespoke kitchen, complete with both electric oven and gas hob. There is also a fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher and washing machine, and for a morning coffee, a breakfast bar with two stools. From here, a door leads out to the courtyard garden. There is also a bathroom with a bath and overhead shower and WC. Two steep, narrow wooden staircases connect the ground, first and second floors, adding to the property's charm. Head upstairs via the hall stairs and you will find two pretty double bedrooms. Climb another set of stairs to a large twin bedroom which is just perfect for children with a selection of children’s toys and TV.
Outside of the property, guests can enjoy relaxing in the fully enclosed garden and patio which has a table and six chairs. A charcoal BBQ is provided as well as children’s swing ball on the large lawn. There is unrestricted roadside parking nearby.
