Stroll down to the shingle beach just a few moments away or head out into the scenic East Sussex countryside for long walks through dramatic landscapes.

A lift will take you up to your inviting third-floor apartment with its airy lounge and dining room. Open the two sets of doors onto your glass-balustraded, wraparound balcony to bring in a fresh summer breeze. Sit outside with a refreshing drink or a bite to eat to watch the boats out on the water and the changing colours of the skies above the sea. Indulge in the views from the comfort of the soft seating inside too, or enjoy a good film on TV or some music via your CD player. The separate kitchen offers space for storing the fresh produce you purchase on your forays and for preparing meals at home. Your two bedrooms have colourful decor: one comes with an en-suite shower room while the other enjoys access to the family bathroom.

Wander through the marina and enjoy all the amenities of the Sovereign Harbour, including bars, restaurants and even a cinema. Walk the 2 miles along the wide beach close to your apartment to Eastbourne's main beach and pier, then spend the afternoon discovering the town's shops and cafes. Another 2 miles on takes you into the South Downs National Park, where keen walkers can indulge in a range of walks, including the 100-mile South Down Way, a national trail which will take you up to Beachy Head and then on as far as Winchester if you choose.

Really lovely apartment in a great location. Very light bright and airy and perfect for what we needed.

Apartment was well situated with a lovely view from the balcony. Unfortunately it is need of some improvements as there was no welcome pack, no blind in the second bedroom, and a number of kitchen utensils had the remains of the previous tenants meals.

I have stayed in a number of cottages but this was the first one with no welcome pack - some milk would have been appreciated especially arriving after 4 on a Sunday and on a bank holiday weekend. Or, if that is too much to ask, then at least a map of the local area showing where the shops are located - the Coop seemed to have the better opening hoRead moreurs.
