Located just a short stroll away from Holywell Beach, west of the sunny seaside town of Eastbourne, this luxury property is ideal for a romantic getaway.

Charmingly furnished in a gated mews setting, the decor is restful, complemented by calming seaside pastels in the open-plan lounge and dining area. The kitchen is separate with all you need to cook a romantic meal if you choose to stay in. Up a set of cottage-style stairs is a tranquil bedroom with a king-size bed, decorated in a nautical theme. Outside is a south-facing courtyard garden, just the spot to share a bottle of fizz as the sun begins to set.

Set in a peaceful gated mews just off the High Street in the Meads Village area of Eastbourne, the cottage enjoys a quiet part of town, but with its own vibrant community of shops, pubs and restaurants. Breathe in the fresh sea air at the local beach at Holywell (1 mile) sheltered by cliffs at one end, and by pretty, Italianate gardens at the other – it's also known for summer outdoor Shakespeare performances. Eastbourne is 2 miles from here, easily accessible on foot or by regular local buses, while the Towner Art Gallery is only 1 mile. Other attractions in the town include the restored Victorian pier with its tearooms, nightclub, and restaurant, and a fantastic water sports centre. Or stroll along the chalk cliffs to spectacular Beachy Head (2 miles), with magnificent scenery and wonderful walks.

This lovely property is located right in the heart of beautiful Meads Village. Everything is close to hand; local shops, pubs, restaurants, cafes, the beach and walks on the South Downs and to Eastbourne town centre. In fact everything needed is on the doorstep. We stayed for six wonderful nights in June. Fantastic accommodation in a great area. Everything is close to hand, great local eateries, shops and public transport. The locals are very friendly as well! If youre looking for somewhere to stay thats good value for money, comfortable and convenient look no further.

The accommodation was excellent in all respects. De Walden Mews is delightful and the close proximity to the village shops, cafes etc was a huge bonus and satisfied all our needs. Access to bus routes and a few minutes drive to the town or the coast made for a stress free holiday.

This is a lovely mews house which we return to most years. It is perfectly situated near to most amenities and has a good bus service to Eastbourne Town Centre. A very quiet location too.

Excellent cottage had a wonderful relaxing week, all amenities provided in kitchen, very comfortable bed & lounge. Large Shower was very good would highly recommend Dovecote Cottage.
