If you've been craving a retreat from the rat race, this stylish and tranquil three-storey family home could be your answer. Situated in the hip and convenient Little Chelsea area of Eastbourne, this pretty pad will provide you and your family with an ideal base for eating out, exploring the shops, and of course, heading to the beach.

Enter the cottage and you'll find its first talking point — a bright and chic open-plan area including a contemporary kitchen (with washing machine and tumble dryer so you can pack light and still look great), a beach-themed sitting area, and a dining table. The space is perfect for family meals, and long, celebratory cooking and eating sessions. After dinner, there is room for all to snuggle up on the comfy sofas. Up to the first floor, and you'll find the king-size master bedroomwith en-suite shower room, and also on this floor is the family shower room. Up the stairs again to the top floor and there are two charming bedrooms, a double and a twin bedroom. Please note that the stairs are a little steep in places. Head outside for an al fresco breakfast or a nightcap in the sea air in your delightful little courtyard garden.

Conveniently situated in the heart of the town, it's less than a half-mile walk to the train station and a mere 100 yards to lovely pubs and coffee shops. The beach is also on your doorstep - just a mile's stroll will take you to Eastbourne Pier, a classic Victorian boardwalk, where you can start your seaside experience, taking in the amusements, beachside cafes, and concerts. If you fancy a more rugged walk, head 3 miles along the coast to Beachy Head at the tip of the South Downs, where stunning cliffs and rolling green hills offer an inspiring view over the sea.

A lovely comfortable interior, but the outside space was disappointingly small. Lots of nice cafes and pubs nearby, ten minutes walk to the park for dog-walking. The parking passes worked well but we often had to park along the street rather than outside the property.

Needs better cleaner! Fridge smelt really bad!! Pans not clean. Bathrooms not properly cleaned and one really stunk and another shower blocked. Kitchen blind broke on one side. Beds were comfortable and bright and airy.

Ideal location. House is lovely and well decorated. We had an enjoyable and comfortable stay here. We used the kitchen which had sufficient equipment for our needs when we ate in. The outside area was disappointing lacking in tlc and cleanliness. We would have used it albeit it small but adequate for a coffee or glass of something. Enough furnitureRead more just not a nice place to sit, easily remedied, I was itching to do it! Hide
