Located at the heart of the seaside town of Whitstable, this property sits within easy reach of the High Street and the art galleries and independent stores it is known for, as well as plenty of eateries. The town's beaches and fishing harbour both lie within 0.5 miles of the door, while the historic castle is under 1 mile away, just waiting to be explored by families or a group of friends.
The cottage's light and airy lounge welcomes guests, with a warming wood burner in the exposed stone fireplace to alleviate the chill on cooler days. This leads on to a separate dining room and then to a galley-style kitchen, with the added option to dine alfresco in the private patio area. Upstairs, three bedrooms are arranged over two floors, with a king-size room and a double bedroom on the first floor, and a twin room with a sloping ceiling (and reduced head-height) on the second floor accessible trough the double bedroom and via steep stairs; a bathroom with a bath and separate shower is also found on the first floor.
With Whitstable's amenities almost on the doorstep, there is plenty to see and do without having to jump in a car, whether it's a day on the beach or a walk along the Sussex Shore Way. Nor is it necessary to use a car to travel further afield, as regular trains run to and from London's St Pancras International station. Trains continue from Whitstable to the seaside town of Margate, 19 miles to the east, with its contemporary art gallery, vintage-themed pleasure park and sandy beach, complete with tide pool. Alternatively, a 7-mile bus or car ride south leads to the historic streets of Canterbury, and the chance to walk in the footsteps of Chaucer's pilgrims.
