Whitstable is renowned for its excellent range of independent shops and fantastic choice of restaurants, bistros and pubs, many of which pride themselves on their creative use of the local produce, including the oysters for which the town is famed. This property is the ideal base for a family or group of friends looking to explore the town, enjoy its beaches and access the broader East Kent area.

From the narrow residential street, the front door of this terraced cottage opens onto a light-filled open-plan lounge/diner, which has been beautifully finished to provide a sanctuary-like space. French doors lead out to the beach-themed garden, with garden furniture and a coal-fired BBQ for al fresco dining. For those who prefer to do their cooking indoors, a doorway leads from the living area through to a contemporary galley-style kitchen. Open-tread stairs rise from the dining area to the first floor where guests will find three elegant and comfortable bedrooms, comprising of two king-sized bedrooms, one of which leads directly through to a third, double bedroom.

The property's central location puts its guests within easy reach of both the High Street and the seafront, so window-shopping and watersports can be enjoyed in equal measure, as can relaxed days on the beach watching the world go by. Further afield, there is plenty of culture to be found in the ancient cathedral city of Canterbury, just 7 miles south by bus or by car, where literary types can walk in the shadow of Chaucer's pilgrims. Alternatively, Margate lies 19 miles east by road or rail, where the Turner Contemporary gallery is sure to appeal to those of an artistic nature.

Lovely property in a great location super close to town and the harbour. The property was very comfortable and we managed to find everything we needed at the property for our stay. There was plenty of room for the two of us and our dog with a nice little garden for when the sun was shining. We love our visits to Whitstable.

The cottage was absolutely perfect! Very comfortable, clean and with a thoughtful welcome package waiting for us on arrival. It couldn't be in a better location to walk to the shops, beach and restaurants in town and we absolutely loved it. Highly recommend - thank you!

What an amazing cottage, a proper home from home. The beds were extremely comfortable as were the sofas. It is such a quiet road, despite being 2 minutes walk from the high street, we all slept well. We had no problems with parking - either right outside or a few streets away. The only issue we had was with the disposal of our waste which I hope thRead moree owners will sort for future bookings. Whitstable is brilliant and this lovely house allows you to enjoy everything that is on offer. Hide

It is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed and the attention to detail (and kitchen fairy lights!) were greatly appreciated. We hope to come back soon!

Its a lovely little cottage which was homely & dog friendly. Beds were very comfortable didnt want to get up early at all. Dont be put of by the small double room access through master bedroom, you have your own privacy but I would say its suited more to a child because of two sets of adults. Sofas were lovely of an evening to cosy up. Kitchen was Read morewell equipped just maybe needed more cereal bowls. The garden is secure and our dog loved being sat out on the pebbles sunbathing.
