This lovingly decorated cottage in an idyllic peaceful location boasts stunning interiors throughout and is located perfectly for couples and families wanting to head out and explore the abundance of historic towns, all just a short distance away.

Located in the heart of East Sussex in the village of Netherfield, this pretty cottage is within easy reach of the village green, where the local post office, shop and two pubs are situated. The historic town of Battle renowned for the famed 1066 Battle of Hastings that took place in its very own landscapes is nearby and is a truly intriguing town brimming with history and charm and a great number of restaurants, shops and tea rooms as well as the imposing Battle Abbey situated at the end of the High Street. Hastings and the rest of the Sussex coastline is only a 20-minute drive away, where you can find sandy and pebbled beaches and bustling seaside towns and villages.

Step inside and instantly be welcomed into the cosy lounge which has corner sofas to relax on after a busy day exploring, whilst watching your favourite film on the Smart TV curled up in front of the wood burner on chilly evenings. When it comes to dining the well-equipped kitchen /diner has everything you need to whip up a meal with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher. The dining area seats everyone for a nice meal and enjoys spectacular views across the surrounding countryside. Just off the kitchen is a handy utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and room to store muddy boots and coats. The ground floor is completed with a king-size bedroom with and en-suite shower room with walk-in shower and WC. Stairs from the ground floor head up to the first floor where there are two bedrooms: a king with dual aspect windows offering stunning countryside views and a twin. The property is completed with a bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC.

Head outside to the pretty sun trap patio area and extensive garden beyond which has patio chairs and a table, perfect to enjoy a glass of wine on a warm summers evening. There is private parking for three cars

Lovely cozy cottage. Very well equipped for a home from home and really clean. The garden is large and goes all round the cottage and next to the Little Doctors Cottage garden too. Fences are fine for dogs if they arent jumpers and not reactive to other dogs if both cottages are in use. The road is close, but you get used to it, and its handy for gRead moreetting out and about, but we didnt walk as its fairly busy and bendy with a 60mph limit. Lovely cottage with everything you could ask for. Perfect for our dog and her attendants. Very relaxing stay. Only down side was back doors very low, 5'2 wife had to duck and quite steep slope leading down to cottage. Would recommend if you are looking to stay in Sussex.

We had a fabulous stay over Christmas - the cottage was so well equipped (especially in the kitchen), and little thoughtful touches made it a really lovely experience. Perfect location for exploring, and we will 110% be rebooking for next year. A lovely stay in a lovely location in such a beautiful setting. Owners were helpful and answered any questions we had. Facilities great and we had a lovely stay as a family. Our doggy loved doing laps of the garden and staying 'morning' to the sheep!

The cottage is in a perfect location. Fabulous views from the property. Lovely private patio, again with a great view. Really well equipped and very nicely decorated. We would definitely go back again.

Absolutely really lovely cottage, up to expectations. We stayed 2 weeks, first week with just the 2 of us the 2nd week our grownup 3 children joined us. The cottage is great for up to 6 persons. The only downside, but mentioned many times is the road very nearby. Traffic is quite heavy and they do reach the maximum speed of 60mph easily. The entranRead morece road to the house behind the monument was washed away on the steep part, within a day an excavator came to repair it, great service! Hide

The roomy cottage is in an idyllic location -beautiful views from garden. Our small dog loved roaming around the garden. Yes the road is extremely busy& noisy at peak times but did not prevent us enjoying a drink in the garden. Would not recommend walking to shop or pub as motorists do speed on the road. The beds were very comfy. The bed linen and Read moretowels top quality. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. The hot water was great and reliable, downstairs shower was excellent. Hide

Lovely place in ideal setting, sitting on the patio with a glass admiring the view - what could be better. Watch your head going through the door out the back though, it is quite low! All together a well equipped nice place, will definitely recommend.

Lovely dog friendly cottage, with a massive enclosed garden. Great for big dogs or those that need a lot of sniffing/exploring. Easy location for Eastbourne, Hastings and Camber Sands. Lots of muddy woods just a short drive away and a lovely dog friendly pub just down the road. (Swan Inn) Well equipped, great showers. The cottage is delightfully situated, extremely well-equipped and comfortable. In one of the hottest weeks ever, the heat was bearable because the windows all opened to provide a through draught and blinds kept the rooms shady. It was very pleasant to sit outside for breakfast and in the evening when it was cooler. We had a wonderful stay at Doctors Cottage. It is an idyllic place with lots of charm & great views across the fields & hills. The place is really well equipped & furnished with everything top quality. Extremely comfortable & well thought out. We loved eating out in the back garden & fun evenings playing board games. Highly recommended.

This is a great cottage. Equipped to a very high standard and spotlessly clean. Lovely garden surrounded by countryside. Easy access to Battle and Hastings and several really good National Trust properties. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely cottage - spotlessly clean, tidy, well equipped and very comfortable. Beautiful views, especially from the patio, and it was a great base for exploring the area. A very clean, spacious and comfortable cottage. We very much enjoyed the Sussex countryside, coastline and castles. Netherfield, Brightling and Salehurst were our favorite places to go to. We were slightly disappointed with the noise from the road next to the cottage, but apart from that I would definitely recommend Doctors Cottage.
