A unique experience for couples offering peace and quiet and privacy and situated on the edge of Horam with easy access to local shops, good pubs, and the local vineyard, Hidden Spring Vineyard (1.5 miles).  A great base for exploring all that Sussex has to offer, with the Cuckoo Trail, a 14-mile footpath and cycleway which runs from Hampden Park to Heathfield that’s perfect for seeing the local countryside, or hop in the car for a trip to the nearby towns of Heathfield (4 miles) and Battle (13 miles), which offers boutique shopping and the opportunity to visit the famous Battle Abbey.

Inside, the hut has been decorated to evoke a cosy and romantic feel. The kitchen is equipped for you to make delicious light meals and the dining table and seating offer an ideal spot for enjoying a romantic meal or a game of cards in front of the wood burner on chilly evenings. The double bed sits at one end of the hut where you can enjoy delightful countryside views when you wake up in the morning, and a separate shepherd’s hut offers a shower room and a compost toilet.

Stepping outside you are truly at one with nature and spectacular countryside views can be enjoyed from the patio table and chairs. Light the charcoal BBQ for some tasty outside dining and as the day draws to a close, there is a delightful fire pit for toasting marshmallows under the dark skies.

Absolutely lovely shepherds hut, in complete peace and quiet location. Has the advantage of a separate shepherds hut for the bathroom. Very easy access, with good parking off road but on a hard standing area. If youre looking for an incredible bit of peace, away from humans, its absolutely perfect. Lovely shepherds hut, its beautiful inside and so unbelievably clean too. Electricity and hot water inside too which was great surprise. Fire pit and marshmallows was a highlight. Really enjoyed our stay.

We had a lovely stay at Nightingale Farm in the Sheppard hut, Linda was reactive to any concerns and happy to provide information on the local surrounds and amenities, she went out of her way to resolve a few minor issue in quick order (What a superstar!) The shepherds huts are exactly as described. Absolutely perfect for a short getaway - which this was for us. The seclusion is awesome. The view is great. We were very lucky with the weather which was brilliant and meant that most of the time we spent there was outside. Breakfast in the sun and dinner outside with the fire pit with the sun going dowRead moren behind you. If you were to have poor weather then be prepared for it to be cosy inside. Hide

Really enjoyed my cycling holiday at the Shepherds Hut. It was an ideal base for touring the Weald etc Beautiful and peaceful.

The perfect relaxing getaway.Such a lovely quaint shepherd's hut .Compact with everything you need to enjoy the peace of the countryside.Loved the little wood burner took me back to my childhood living in the countryside away from the rat race.

Enjoyed a lovely 3 night stay in the hut. Beautiful location surrounded by fields and trees and very peaceful with little to no noise from the surrounding roads. A perfect little mini break for couples. Highly recommend and we will be definitely be coming back.
