Located in the heart of the picturesque village of Appledore in Kent, this holiday cottage is within 300 foot of the local antique shops, village store and popular pub and tea shop. Appledore offers the perfect place to unwind and explore the surrounding area with the pretty market towns of Rye and Tenterden close by, as is the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which boasts an abundance of beautiful walks and scenery. For those that want to venture further afield this is a fantastic base from which to explore the many local historic houses, gardens and vineyards on offer as well as the Kent and East Sussex coastline, with the soft golden sand of Camber being only ten miles away.

Step inside this delightful, converted farmhouse which offers many original features into the open plan kitchen/diner. This dual aspect room is light and bright with a fully equipped kitchen with everything you may need for whipping up delicious family meals and a traditional farmhouse table and chairs for getting the family together for evening meals or after dinner board games. Adjacent to the lounge/diner is a cosy informal seating area with two sumptuous sofas arranged around the wood burner making it a place to relax after dinner with drinks or for children to entertain themselves with the mini pool table and games. Heading further into the property is the lounge with plenty of seating for all the family and a Smart TV and DVD player for catching up on your favourite programmes. Why not light the wood burner on a chilly day which is perfectly framed by two large picture windows and curl up with a good book and just enjoy the views of the beautiful garden beyond. Also located on the ground floor is a shower room and a handy utility room with washing machine and tumble drier. Heading up to the first floor you will find two bedrooms: a spacious super-king bedroom and a king bedroom. The first floor is completed with a family bathroom. A further set of steep stairs takes you up into the eaves of the property where you will find a family room with two single beds and two trundle beds, of which are only suitable for children.

Outside, the beautiful garden is a gardener’s delight with perfectly landscaped flower beds and a large lawn for children to play on. The patio area acts as sun trap for most of the day and offers patio seating and a charcoal BBQ for enjoying outside entertaining. Please note that the garden has an unfenced pond.

Absolutely gorgeous house with an enormous garden. Perfect for families with children, so much for them to do in the house and playing outside. Very close to the lovely village of Tenterden and of course Rye. Hosts are lovely and happy to help with any queries or requirements such as stair gates and travel cot. Highly recommend.
