Bursting with original charm, this countryside cottage is waiting to be enjoyed by family and friends. Located in Sussex near the seaside town of Eastbourne (5miles) with its abundance of things to do including shopping, visiting the theatre and traditional seaside attractions, it is the perfect spot for secluded relaxation and for exploring the surrounding countryside and south coast. This Grade II listed property is on the edge of the village of Polegate, and is situated close to the Cuckoo Trail, which takes walkers and cyclists from Polegate to Heathfield along the disused ‘Cuckoo Line’ railway. The property is located within a short drive of the ancient town of Pevensey, (3miles) with its historic Castle and friendly pubs. There is much to do in the area for families including the Knockhatch Centre (1.5miles) and Drusillas Park (5miles) which both make for great days out.

Step inside this charming cottage where a warm welcome awaits. Leave your coats and boots in the entrance hall before heading through to the cosy lounge with comfy seating arranged around a Smart TV. Heading along the hallway, you will then come to the dining room with a large dining table with seating for ten people. Light the wood burning stove and gather the family together for celebratory dinners enjoyed in front of the fire. Located just off the dining room is a cosy snug with a sofa and TV with Sky and a DVD player – perfect for teenagers who want to escape after dinner for an evening on their tablets or chatting to friends. Also located off the dining room is the traditional farmhouse kitchen, which is a chef’s delight, being well equipped with everything you may need for creating delicious family meals including its own original parlour. A breakfast table and benches provide a spot for a morning coffee of just to chat whilst dinner is prepared. Completing the ground floor is a cloakroom with WC. Heading up to the first floor you will find three bedrooms: two super king bedrooms, one of which has a Jack n Jill bathroom connected to the landing, a double bedroom and shower room with walk-in shower and WC. All three bedrooms overlook the garden and glorious views beyond. A further set of stairs leads up into the eaves of the property where you will find a twin bedroom and a separate shower room.

Guests can make use of the heated outdoor swimming pool which is available from April to October and is surrounded with a terrace with sun loungers. The rear patio area is a glorious spot to enjoy outside entertaining with a large patio table with seating, a gas BBQ and sun loungers for soaking up the sunshine.
