Set in the quiet village of Rolvenden Layne, this cottage is full of homely charm creating the perfect base for families to explore the rural area. Visit Cranbrook and Tenterden to explore a selection of independent shops and eateries. Take a trip to one of the local castles and marvel at their history with Bodiam Castle 7.1 miles and Sissinghurst Castle Gardens 7.7 miles . Alternatively, explore the vineyards in the area, with Chapel Down 5 miles and Biddenden 7.6 miles offering a wonderful experience and an insight into the world of English wine making

The living/dining room is a great social space with a rand inglenook fireplace housing a wood burning stove for cosy winter evenings. There is a selection of seating including a sofa and antique armchairs as well as the dark wood dining table facing the gorgeous garden views. For entertainment, the room is well-equipped with a TV, SKy Q, Bose Bluetooth speaker and a record player. Completing the ground floor is the characterful kitchen with quirky touches and plenty of space to prepare meals and snacks. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, two doubles and a single room . The single room has a steep Jacobs Ladder style staircase leading up to the second double. Finally, the bathroom has a relaxing roll top bath and a rainfall shower head making it the perfect place to unwind after a long day out.

Outside, the enclosed garden is a wonderful place to enjoy the sunshine and dine al fresco in the evening with a selection of plants, deck chairs and a patio table and chairs.

Perfect in every way. There were 3 generations in our stay and there was something for young and old inside to amuse us for a couple of hours each evening. Caretaker extremely helpful. So clean, homely and well equipped in the kitchen and through out the property.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful time in this characterful cottage in a beautiful part of the country. Loads to see and do in the area and this cottage provided the perfect and best equipped base to do it from. We loved it's charm and quirkiness.

Garden dog safe. Local pub excellent,though food a bit pricy. Cottage full of character, wonky floors and steep stairs. Well equiped,ample hot water and warm. Beds comfy. Would definetely recommend. Very handy to see sights of kent, tenterden has everything you need, some excellent eateries there.

Great homely feel had everything you needed for a great time , loved the decor and all the ornaments and pictures , we had a great Christmas very relaxing, would recommend and have to family and friends,

A good location for dog walking and some interesting locations to visit nearby. The cottage had an eclectic collection of art and objects, which kept one interested! Overall a nice place to escape to, with pleasant neighbours

A very cosy property, everything you could need is present. Tastefully decorated, nice little garden and comfortable beds. Very friendly and helpful neighbour. Rural, quiet surroundings with easy access to many interesting places Kent has to offer. We would highly recommend this little gem!

The week we stayed here was wonderful! The cottage is well equipped, lovely to stay, live and sleep in. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the cottage so much. Marigold Cottage is surrounded by so many special places, like Sissinghurst, Scotney Castle, Cranbrook, Tenterden and the amazing Steam Railway there, and of course, Canterbury. Everything we could need is available> We love the cosy living room and the bedroom. If you like Sissinghurst, Leeds Castle, Great Dixter, Batemans, Pashley Manor, King John`s Lodge, Scotney Castle, Rye and HeRead morever Castle are not far away. Enjoy! Hide

The cottage is lovely, and the garden is a real sun trap. Everything in the cottage was well thought through and we loved the art work and ornaments. Even loved the record collection! Leeds Castle was well worth a visit and the gardens were amazing. Dungeness is a must see. Bexhill and Hastings was well worth a visit and the countryside is beautifuRead morel. A visit to the Folkestone Harbour Arm , the various food shacks, and "The Beach" is a good day out. We finished the week off with a visit to Tenterden Food Festival. Week went too fast, and we`d love to stay for another week. Thanks for a lovely stay! Hide
