Located in the medieval town of Sandwich, with plenty of historic buildings, museums and a nature reserve to explore, this former Methodist chapel, dating back to 1863, is a unique property for a family or group of up to six people to enjoy this picturesque corner of Kent. Royal St George Golf Club, Royal Cinque Ports and St Augustine's golf course are 2 and 4 miles away respectively, making it a haven for golf-lovers. Sandwich Bay with its sandy beach is just 2.5 miles from the property while the coastal town of Deal, with a 1950s pier and long pebble beach, is just over 6 miles away. Closer to home, pubs and shops are located just 100 metres from the property.

Open the front door to this unique property and you’re greeted with a bright entrance hall and stairway, flooded with light thanks to the large, period feature windows. The wow factor continues through to the stunning open-plan lounge, dining and kitchen area which has wooden floors throughout and is stylishly furnished. Patio doors, leading out into a courtyard, add extra space and light. The kitchen is sleek and contemporary, with everything required for a self-catering break. A useful utility room provides a ground-floor WC and space to hide away additional utilities. Upstairs to the first floor, there are three spacious bedrooms: a bunk bedroom, a double, and another double with an en-suite shower room, plus the modern family bathroom.

Outside, guests can enjoy a private, enclosed courtyard, stylishly paved and including garden furniture and a BBQ – the perfect spot for a morning coffee or evening meal.

Excellent character property: clean, spacious, well looked after, with all facilities/equipment that one would expect and need. Very conveniently located in beautiful Sandwich. A well appointed holiday let with plenty of crockery, cutlery and glasses and the final test was passed for me in that the kitchen knives were superbly sharp.

The property was delightful. Spacious, excellent bathrooms and kitchen. Very comfortable. Disappointed that there was no tea/coffee/sugar on our arrival after a long journey. Chapel House is right in the middle of Sandwich, a parking (just round the corner) permit included, lots of places to go, lovely walks from the door, good bus services too.
