For the nearest amenities, look to Hildenborough (2.5 miles) for a shop, slightly further into Tonbridge (5 miles) for a wider variety of shops, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants. Also at Tonbridge is the 13-century Tonbridge Castle. Why not take a restorative wander around Penshurst Place and Gardens (3.5 miles) Hilden Golf Club is a short drive from the property (2 miles), while a trip to Royal Tunbridge Wells 14.5 miles away will yield options for spa treatments as well as more retail therapy.

This property is converted grain store on the owner’s beautiful estate, tucked away in the Kent countryside. When you arrive at the property, two steps will take you straight up into the open plan living spaces. This comprises a kitchen and dining area, and the sitting room. The interior of this property is generous for 2, providing plenty of room to spread out and take alone time or relax in company. Exposed beams on both floors belie the rustic past of this building, and this is blended masterfully with the light, bright contemporary decor to create a tranquil, peaceful atmosphere, perfect for your relaxing retreat.

When you aren’t out about enjoying the Kentish countryside, there is a seating area to the right-hand side of the property that is dedicated to guests of this property and would be perfect for that morning cup of tea or coffee, or why not take breakfast alfresco. We had the most wonderful stay, the barn and grounds were stunning. We had booked for the bank holiday weekend which was incredibly hot, we spent our days in the pool lazing away. The barn itself was fully equipped with everything we needed, we had decided not to eat out and had done a food shop instead. We are so sorry about breaking a lamp, iRead moret had caught my foot. We had left 40 by it and also paid the damage fee. If we need to pay anymore please let us know! We would love to stay again! Thank you so much! Hide

Very quiet, spacious accommodation which was very well equipped to a very high standard. The Greyhound pub is only a mile and a bit away in Charcot, has excellent atmosphere - book for Friday & Saturday night - parking can be challenging. Food is very good: we created a tapas from small bites & a special all of which were excellent. Beer has wideRead more choice and is well kept. Hide

A fine, comfortable house on a beautiful location in an area where there is a lot to be seen. We visited several castles, went shopping in Sevenoaks, but might as well have gone (but didnt go) to London for a day because it is so near. A spacious, clean & comfortable property. It was well located with many gardens and National Trust properties within easy reach. The main negatives for us were that at the time of booking and arrival at the property, the website clearly showed that the pool and terrace area were available from 1 April. This was certainly not the case and the webRead moresite has recently been updated to show a start date of 1 June. The designated seating area for the property only consisted of a bistro table & 2 chairs dangerously perched on the door step. The pool terrace area was not inviting, or set up for use and overlooked the stagnant swimming pool. Therefore, there was no pleasant usable outside space to enjoy the sunny weather we had. Hide
