This outstanding property is a beautiful brick ‘lookers’ hut that has been stylishly designed to create perfect country escape for two. Nestled in a tranquil spot at the heart of a vineyard, the most striking feature of this property is the stunning rural location. With parking approximately 100 metres away, you will feel total seclusion at this peaceful retreat. There is a porter’s trolley to help transport your luggage, and the pathway is lit at night. Beautiful walks begin at your doorstep, one of which will take you to the welcoming local pub just under a mile away. The pretty tree-lined high street of Tenterden is 7 miles away, where you will discover a range of boutique shops and excellent restaurants. Historic Rye is close by (6 miles), and the golden sands at Camber (9.5) make for a lovely day trip to the seaside.

The open-plan living area is dominated by the double bi-folding doors, which open onto a secluded terrace with far-reaching views over the Romney Marsh. The modern interior is sympathetic to the original design and has been carefully extended to let natural light flood into the rooms. The entire property has been furnished with luxurious touches, and there is a cosy wood burner for those chillier evenings. The kitchen is compact and well-designed to include everything a chef could need. The bedroom has enchanting views from the king-size bed, and exposed brick feature walls add a sense of history. A stylishly tiled shower room with a walk-in shower completes the internal layout.

Outside, a terrace with a bistro dining set opens directly onto the vineyard. Enjoy a sun-downer in the hot tub, then get cooking on the BBQ before sitting back to wonder at the night sky from this idyllic location.

Superb location. Amazing views. Very private and secluded. Cottage is beautiful. Quality fixtures and fittings. Shower was amazing and the bed is massive and very comfortable. Has everything you need. Have stayed in two cottages so far and will definitely book again.

If you're looking for some peace and quiet then this is the place to come. Just big enough for two people and a medium sized dog. Really enjoyed my stay here, the pub is walkable but take a torch if you're planning on going there in the dark

Great to stay at The Lookers Legacy, a much needed break in an idyllic location. Superb conversion & snug extension with everything we could need. Kent has beautiful scenery and we enjoyed using it as a base to explore the local area and would unreservedly recommend it and Winchelsea and its nearby beach as well worth a visit. Beautiful property for time cut off from the rest of the world. Lovely modern features and lovely and warm (even in the stormy weather and we had). Not an enclosed garden but lots of space for the dog to run around. Good location, near to Rye which we really loved visiting (standard inn and Marinos fish and chips are both a must). Front door lock and key situation has potential for problems if you happen to close front door and leave key inside. 'Topping up' hot tub after use needs highlighting on the hot tub not at the hose tap. Also if you use hot tub say at 22:00 then you 'top it up' it was taking well over 1hr to heat/cycle and with the bed right next to hot tub was a weRead moree bit noisy. Lesson learned was don't use hot tub after 20:30 but when on holiday it is nice to sit in hot tub and look up at the stars when one desires. Hide

Perfect get-away for a couple looking for peace and quiet. The property is small but has been well thought out and fitted out to a very high standard. The living room has folding patio doors on two sides opening out onto the surrounding vineyards. The property owners are very helpful and friendly. Please note that here is no washing machine so be sRead moreure to pack enough clothes! For the taller ones amongst you beware of the low doorframes! There are many pubs serving tasty food in the area and it is only a short drive to the port of Rye. It all made for a very relaxing stay and I would happily recommend this property. Hide

The property is lovely, and in a fantastic location, but as it faces south it gets very hot, given there is a glass atrium, and a fan might be useful, although I grant we stayed over the hottest weekend currently on record!

lovely cottage and great location, well equipped and to a high standard e.g comfort of mattress, linen and towels. The reason for lower scores were minor quibbles but ones that can easily be rectified so i listed them here. 1. the kitchen did not have a serrated bread knife - may sound petty but trying to slice bread with a large carving knife wasRead more not easy. 2. the property was clean but the windows which offer such nice views could really do with a clean (cobwebs outside) and so did the bedroom mirror (looked a bit smeared) and there was a lot of dust in the bedframe (where you can see it in the corners and the mattress does not cover it) and behind the radiators. We noticed that a service company did the cleaning at the other related cottages so it may be something to highlight to them about standards. Otherwise, it ticked all the boxes for us! Hide
