This stylishly converted stable block sits on a farm estate and offers welcoming accommodation for a couple seeking a tranquil retreat in the East Sussex High Weald Area of Natural Beauty. There are wonderful woodland and riverside walks just moments from the doorstep as well as picturesque cycle routes – join the renowned Cuckoo Trail at Heathfield, 5 miles, or try out the circular reservoir route at Bewl Water, 11.5 miles. The nearby village of Mayfield, just under 2 miles, has a good range of shops, cafes and pubs, while bustling Tunbridge Wells just over the border in Kent, 10.5 miles, has all of the extended shopping and dining options of a large town – start with a stroll along The Pantiles and explore from there.

An open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner forms the heart of this attractive single-storey cottage. In the lounge area, a comfortable sofa and armchair seating is gathered around a wood burner, perfect for a cosy night in after a long country hike. Beautiful cottage in a stunning location. The owners made us feel really welcome. Lots of places to visit & lots of walks to take our dog. Would definitely recommend.

Winter Farm Cottage was amazing. Attention to detail was first class. Really felt like home. The bed was so comfortable. Everything you needed in the kitchen. We only went for 5 days, we could have stayed for 2 weeks.So well placed for all the tourist spots. Cannot wait to return.x

A beautiful cottage hidden away in countryside. All presented beautifully, spotlessly clean, well equipped. Close to lots of walks and villages. We will definitely return.

Winters Farm is lovely 'home away from home' type of cottage. It really met our standards as was honestly one of the cleanest and nicest cottages we've ever stayed in. We've stayed in a few dog-friendly cottages before, and this one was by far the cleanest. We enjoyed great walks, straight from our back door. For a self-catering cottage, it had eveRead morerything we could ask for and you can tell lots of thought and care goes into the cottage. Can't wait for our next stay there! Hide
