A cosy and captivating Kent retreat, this Georgian terrace – a former worker’s cottage – in central Canterbury makes a welcoming base for a family or friends exploring the town’s historic buildings, museums, galleries and theatre. Westgate Gardens, with scenic paths beside the River Stour, is a very short walk from the property, as is the beautiful Canterbury Cathedral. A river boat tour is a wonderful way to take in the medieval town, with evening tours particularly enchanting. Back on dry land, Canterbury is surrounded by lush, rolling countryside and pretty villages, and is just over 6.5 miles from the classic British seaside resort of Whitstable, with its shingle beach, beach huts and seafood restaurants.

This has to be one of the best located rental properties, with a private car park, in the centre of Canterbury.
