Indulge in a unique experience at this quirky stay in the Kent countryside, as you glamp in a converted vintage horse box with luxuries like the Lay-Z-Spa hot tub. Set in the owner’s 13-acre land with surrounding animals and lovely rural views, you can unwind in this unique location knowing you’re also not far from modern conveniences like shops, cafes and restaurants in Hawkhurst village (0.5 miles). Ramble or cycle in the surrounding nature, such as Bedgebury forest (4.5 miles) and Bewl Water park (7.5 miles), where you can also try water sports like paddleboarding. History buffs will love the location. Visit The National Trust’s Sissinghurst Castle Gardens (7 miles) and climb the tower for panoramic views. In the spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells (16 miles), you can see the spring that gave the town its name or visit the local museum. There are also excellent shops, bars and restaurants. Local vineyards like Biddenden (8.5 miles) and Chapel Down (12.5 miles) make lovely afternoon excursions as they offer wine tasting and tours.

Admire the quirkiness of this vintage horse box as you enter via steps into the open-plan living area, with clever designs to make the best use of the space. The main area is ideal for relaxation with a plump sofa, wood burner-effect electric stove, radio and DVD for playing films on the mini screen. For dining, there’s a gate-legged table with two chairs that fold away for efficiency. A small galley kitchen has cooking equipment and a fridge with an ice box. The double French doors that open to the courtyard mean you’ll always have a lovely view. You’ll find your king-size bed in the sleeping area with porthole windows on a platform, accessed by ladders, to the front of the lorry. There’s a portable bed guard and hanging space up there too. The property is complete with a contemporary, stylish shower room.

There’s more relaxation space outside in the open-fronted shed that’s a great place to relax or stargaze with a wicker sofa, coffee table and charming decors like the rug and bunting. You’ll also find lawned and gravelled areas kitted out with a garden table and chairs, sun loungers, a fire pit/BBQ and a Lay-Z-Spa hot tub. Enjoy all alongside those vast, tranquil, rural views.
