The area is a paradise for walkers and cyclists, and you can join the long-distance South Downs Way at Upper Beeding, just 16 miles from the property. Nearby day trips include a visit to see the fine collection of artworks at the National Trust’s Petworth House and Park (7.5 miles), or an afternoon pottering around the excellent shops in the cathedral city of Chichester (22 miles).
The cottage retains many of its original features and has been decorated in a traditional style, with pretty soft furnishings and delicate accessories. The accommodation is arranged across one level and has an open-plan layout, making it a very sociable holiday home. A small kitchen area has been cleverly designed to include everything you need to prepare a tasty meal, which can be enjoyed together around the table by the window. After dinner, retire to the sofa or armchair to read a book or watch a film on the TV. At the end of the day, choose from a gorgeous dual-aspect king-size bedroom or an inviting twin, both of which enjoy peaceful countryside views. Completing the property is a stylish bathroom.
