This modern renovated hut is a great place for couples to get out and explore the countryside of Kent in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Whilst the estate itself has plenty of beauty, the National Trust properties in the local area offer a plethora of day trips with marvellous castles and gardens to visit; this includes Scotney Castle (4.5 miles), Sissinghurst Castle (7 miles) and Bateman’s (15 miles). Sissinghurst is also home to a great pub to stop off and refuel. High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty has a number of walking and cycling trails for those in search of adventure with picturesque scenery and plenty of wildlife to spot along the way.

All on one level, this property enjoys an open-plan living/dining/kitchen area with comfortable seating and a Smart TV for entertainment. In the dining area, there is a table with four chairs, whilst the kitchen has a small breakfast bar for two. The double bedroom is furnished with bedside tables, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers and a TV ensuring guests feel right at home. The bathroom is a walk-in wet room which has grab rails and an accessible chair can be provided upon request.

Outside is a private patio area with a place to sit and enjoy a meal together, as well as a BBQ for summer evenings.

A very clean and comfortable property, local walks linking onto public footpaths so ideal for walking the dog. Peaceful with a variety of birds and of couse rabbits on the lawn. I would highly recommend as a place to relax and recharge.

Exactly as described, done to very high standard. Very comfortable and user friendly for my husband who has limited mobility. Perfect for walking the dog without having to go 'off site'. Overall highly satisfied.

The whole process from booking in to arrival to departure was simple. Information texts, emails were clear, location was ideal for the purpose of our stay. There was plenty of sites to visit.

The cottage was superb, very well equipped, and very thoughtfully planned. The owners are very nice people and had done everything to make our holiday enjoyable. HOWEVER Original Cottages let us down by not passing on the fact that I told the booking agent I am allergic to dog hair and she had not bothered to pass this information on to the owners.Read more I was disappointed with your lack of concern for the wellbeing of your clients. Comfortable accommodation, Complicated instructions for all electrical items. Very few items suitable for use in the microwave, eg covered dish and microwaveable jug would have been useful. Some storage shelves out of reach - a small step would have been useful.
