Perfectly located in the heart of Spelmonden Estate in the Kent countryside, this former-hop picker’s hut has been transformed into a tranquil retreat for two people. Wildlife adventures await less than a mile away at Crowbourne Alpacas. Just 1.5 miles away is the captivating village of Goudhurst, with its timber-framed inn and 12th-century church. The National Trust Scotney Castle Estate with picturesque parkland and woodland is just 3 miles away.

This charming property is a tranquil space surrounded by idyllic countryside. The open-plan, bedsit style of the accommodation means everything is conveniently laid out on one level. A comfy double bed is located to make the most of the fantastic views out of the patio doors and full-length windows, with the dining table and TV tucked in the corner next to it. Here you’ll also find a small sofa. Wonderful wooden flooring flows through to the contemporary kitchen space. Completing the layout is a walk-in wet room with shower, grab rails and heated towel rail.

Enjoy your early morning coffee on the private patio set within the beautiful grounds of this working farm estate. In the evenings, fire up the BBQ and enjoy al fresco dining for two.

I was not expecting such a beautiful and quiet setting, the views from the cottage are stunning and If you want your dog to join you on your break, then seek no more. No crossing roads for walks, lead on and you just walk into fields!!

This is an excellent cottage - one of the best equipped and most conmfotable that we have stayed in. Thw location is very quiet and looks out on fields and headgerows. Its downside is that, although Goudhurst is within comfortable walking distance, we have not yet discovered an off road path to get there although there is a pleasant footpath acrossRead more the fields to Lamberhurst and Scotneu Castle. My stay with my dog was most enjoyable at Cooks Hopper Hut. I really cant fault anything about where I was staying. I love the positioning of the huts, bright, light, airy and private.
