Alternatively, fresh-off-the-boat seafood is readily available, and the town even hosts a famous annual oyster festival. If you fancy a spot of culture, there are several interesting galleries and an array of live music venues, or take a trip to Whitstable Castle for afternoon tea or simply wander around the picturesque gardens. The historic city of Canterbury, which offers a wealth of interesting medieval architecture including one of Britain’s oldest cathedrals, is just 7 miles away and buses run regularly from the town centre.

The light-filled kitchen/diner is perfect for rustling up a meal – this space leads to a delightful garden room with seating, and large bi-fold doors which open to the garden. Finally on the ground floor is a modern shower room. The first floor comprises a shower room and two well-appointed bedrooms; one king-size and one double, both with lovely ornamental fireplaces.
