This lovely cottage is perfectly located in a quiet cul-de-sac, just off the main high street with all the delights of Whitstable right on the doorstep. It’s the perfect seaside getaway for couples and small families. The narrow, cobbled streets of this delightful seaside town are lined with picturesque pastel buildings as well as an array of traditional pubs, cafes and high-end restaurants to enjoy. Alternatively, fresh-off-the-boat seafood is readily available, and the town even hosts a famous annual oyster festival. If you fancy a spot of culture, there are several interesting galleries and an array of live music venues, or take a trip to Whitstable Castle for afternoon tea or simply wander around the picturesque gardens. The historic city of Canterbury, which offers a wealth of interesting medieval architecture including one of Britain’s oldest cathedrals, is just 7 miles away and buses run regularly from the town centre.

This elegant cottage has a real sense of calm and tranquillity throughout its beautifully presented rooms. Guests will enter through the hallway into the lounge where comfortable seating, centred around a wood burner, provides guests with a homely and comfortable space to enjoy together. The light-filled kitchen/diner is perfect for rustling up a meal – this space leads to a delightful garden room with seating, and large bi-fold doors which open to the garden. Finally on the ground floor is a modern shower room. The first floor comprises a shower room and two well-appointed bedrooms; one king-size and one double, both with lovely ornamental fireplaces.

A garden with a patio area, outdoor furniture and a BBQ completes the property.

The house is very close to the High Street and a short walk from the station so ideally placed for anyone arriving by train as we did. We ate out at some lovely local restaurants so didn't make much use of the well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed breakfast in the pretty suntrap of a garden.

Sally the owner was amazing. She gave us information about the area and she advised us of walks near by. The cottage is well equipped and as short walk to the high street with many restaurants and lovely shops

Lovely, comfortable accommodation within easy reach of the town centre, the beach and the railway station. A great location for exploring the local area without using a car.

Periwinkle cottage was in a fabulous location for us. The cottage provided a comfortable stay, it is dog friendly which is a plus for lots of people as Whitstable is a very dog friendly place. We will definitely be returning, the owners were really helpful and approachable. Great cottage!

Very good house and very short way to the shops, Pub and Restaurant. Bed very comfortable, we have good sleep .Thanks for the good time. We will come back with out two dogs.

4 for equipment as no oven gloves found. UsingT towels was ok but slightly dangerous. Value for money less than 5 as was simply very expensive. This is understandable as running costs/energy bills for properties have sky rocketed and is no way intended as a criticism of the owner. Everything else was just as we could have wished. We have visited Periwinkle Cottage on three occasions now with our dog and whilst we have tried others in Whitstable this remains our favourite. Great position to all amenities and the cottage is well equipped, cosy and comfortable, would recommend x

House is in the perfect location for, shops, beach, and train station. Property contains everything you need, bed was so comfortable. Only issue we could have had was the parking. However we left the car where it was all week and walked or got a train.

Great property in excellent location for getting around Whitstable. Lovely secure garden which was great for the dogs and we were lucky with the weather. We had a great time and hope to book again soon.
