Stay in the Garden of England in this single-storey cottage for two, in a bucolic village setting. Located between Faversham (4 miles) and Canterbury with its famed cathedral (7.5 miles), this pocket of North East Kent offers an array of sites and day trips. Spend time at Whitstable (5.5 miles) walking on the shingle beach, exploring the harbour, and finishing off your evening eating oysters in a local pub. Within half a mile is the idyllic Mount Ephraim Gardens, where you can visit the tearooms or take a drive out to Blean Woods National Nature Reserve, 4 miles.

The open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining room has Netflix and an Amazon stick, so you can catch up on your favourite series, or watch a movie snuggled on the sofa together. The cooking facilities enable you to cook up anything from an elaborate meal to a simple snack, eaten at the four-seater table. The double bedroom also has a TV and there’s a shower room with WC. All accommodation is on the same level.

A walled courtyard garden with a picturesque outlook has a dining table and chairs with a parasol; perfect for long lunches on sunny days.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful quiet village. Ideal for visiting Canterbury, Faversham, Whitstable and further coastal towns. The cottage is well equipped and super comfortable, would highly recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing break.

Really clean and comfortable accommodation with everything you could need for a self catering break. Fantastic dog walks around the orchards and a lovely traditional pub across the road, good access to Whitstable and Fakenham only a few miles away

A lovely cozy place to stay with all you need, the standard of decor and cleanliness is superb. Hernhill is a lovely village with a superb pub just across the road that serves excellent food.

Nicely situated cottage close to Canterbury, Faversham, Leeds Castle, Belmont House, and other interesting places to visit. The location is also very convenient for hikes in the Blean Woods or the Kent Downs. The cottage was exceptionally clean, and we were warmly welcomed with refreshments. Great location with a large parking space for one car. The secure outside patio is a great sun trap. The cottage is opposite The Red Lion pub. The pub is dog friendly, offers great food and has a very well maintained beer garden. The train station at Faversham is not too far away and has adequate parking. One day we caught a train to London VictorRead moreia for a quick visit to the capital! Hide

Very comfortable cottage, with everything you could possibly need. Lovely village and opposite a really lovely pub, Sunday lunch was delicious. Lovely owners who made us feel very welcome. We would certainly like to come back.

We had an excellent holiday at the Old Stables. The cottage was immaculate and very well equipped. Lots of good dog walks nearby and a great location for visiting a variety of places, either nearby or further afield. A very welcoming owner..

We found The Stables to be fabulous, it was spotlessly clean, very well presented, far better equipped than you would expect, very dog friendly with a private secure garden where you have views of the fabulous church and Oust House next door. The property was spotless and had everything that we needed, with some lovely extra touches. The location was perfect for dog walking and the 13th Century pub on the green was an added bonus.
