This collage is smaller than we thought. The beds are comfortable. The lounge has two sofas which we did not find comfortable. The only coffee table was one in the corner with a lamp on it. We had to use the floor to put cups on. The kitchen is really tiny, every cuboard is stuffed with things, dozens of plates cups etc dozens of glasses, lots of oRead moreven dishes and nick nacks and many saucepans and oven ware iitems. Far more than anyone could ever use for a weeks holiday. The only space to put any of our thins was a floor standing cupboard!!!! I think that they like to call it shabby chic? But it just looked shabby tatty and did not fit in with the kitchen\diner at all, there was no photo of this. The garden is well enclosed and is a lovely sun trap, but why has a bath and sink been dumped there? Response from holidaycottages.co.uk - Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear the property style isn't to your taste. The cupboard was acquired after the photos were taken and is raised above the floor. The outdoor bath is used for cold water therapy. Hide

The cottage is small and quaint, in close proximity to local pub that does good food. Unfortunately the cottage wasnt clean when we moved in, we had to vacuum the rooms in house to remove grass cuttings, hair and cobwebs. The sofas in living area are tired, dirty and uncomfortable. I had a lovely stay here - the cottage is very cosy & has everything you could need including great WiFi which was really helpful for the bit of work I had to do. The Horse & Cart pub next door is friendly & I ate there most evenings. Despite being next door to a pub there are no issues - it is quiet at night and the bed is very comfortable (best sRead moreleep I've had in ages!). My dog appreciated the enclosed garden & it was an unexpected benefit to have a field behind the cottage to walk him in (he made a number of new doggy pals in the process). It is a quick trip over to Rye and Camber Sands where we spent quite a bit of time. After a number of difficult years personally I needed a quiet & restful break & I certainly got that - thank you. A bijou cottage, not really suitable for 4 despite the 2 bedrooms. Tastefully decorated with a large selection of beautiful ceramics, things covering every surface but with the kitchen being so small maybe one shelf could be cleared so there was somewhere to put food supplies instead of taking up valuable worktop space. Nice garden , good for dRead moreogs. Despite being so close to the pub it is very quiet at night. Great location for exploring the wider area. No information folder with details on operating instructions, WiFi code, recycling etc which is very unusual or visitors book. Hide
