This remarkable property stands along a secluded country lane, surrounded by woodland festooned with carpets of anemone and bluebells – it’s a haven for families or groups. A bounty of wildlife awaits at Eatenden Wood (200 metres), the perfect place for a walk after lunch. For a hit of medieval history, Battle (3 miles) and Hastings (11 miles) are just two destinations within the heart of 1066 Country. The popular coastal town of Bexhill-on-Sea (14.5 miles) is home to an impressive array of museums, galleries, independent shops, restaurants and examples of Georgian architecture.

The ground floor’s open-plan lounge/diner features high ceilings, wood panelling with corbels, wooden floors and triple aspect Gothic Revival windows, with comfortable furniture arranged around a wood burner which sits within a large fireplace. A small staircase leads to the kitchen, a large family bathroom and a handy shower room. On the second floor, accessed by a Jacob's Ladder-style staircase, guests will find two king-size rooms - The Blue Room and The Cream Room - both with wood-panelled ceilings, TVs and dual aspect views of the surrounding countryside. On the third floor are two twin bedrooms - The Chocolate Room and The Country Room - both enjoying stunning views along with TVs. Original paintings by local artists are displayed throughout the property, lending a homely and welcoming feel.

A secluded lawned garden sits to the side of the property and features garden furniture and a BBQ, along with a bench and a swing seat to the back, the perfect place to watch the sunset.

The living room is an amazing, castle-like room, very beautiful and light with windows on three sides. The beds are very comfortable.

Great place for us to enjoy catching up with friends and use the great social place inside and outside and even have a bbq because the weather was so good. Hosts were excellent and have given the place its own personality which we liked too.
