Ideal for two or a solo traveller, this chalet is the perfect bolthole to spend cosy nights around the fire pit and offers a great base for exploring Sussex. Located in the peaceful village of Netherfield with a post office, café, village shop, and gastropub, it is an ideal base to explore the local towns and countryside. Locally you can enjoy amazing cycle and walking routes, exploring beautiful vineyards, the famous 1066 30-mile walking route and Jack Fuller Needles. The historic town of Battle is just 2 miles away with its Abbey and famous battlefield. Rye is 16 miles away with its cobbled streets, independent shops and cafes and lively year-round programme of events, plus Camber Sands with 7 miles of beautiful golden sand. The seaside town of Hastings, 10-miles away, is worth a visit with its steep funicular and meandering alleyways of The Old Town.

Enter this cosy chalet with its spacious and well-designed interior. Floor to ceiling windows flood the space with light and showcase the eclectic furniture that blends beautifully with a hand painted wall mural of the countryside. The open-plan lounge/diner is a great area to relax around the smart TV or enjoy some local produce prepared in the compact kitchenette. This space flows through to the bedroom area which leads to a stylish bathroom with rainfall shower and quirky sink, converted from an old Singer sewing table.

French doors lead out onto the fully enclosed garden with a table, chairs and barbeque, providing a lovely haven for warmer evenings and a fire pit for those chillier nights.

The Hideout, whilst small, is perfect for one or two people plus dogs if you have them. The small garden is a suntrap in the mornings nicely laid out and very private. The shop sells pretty much everything you could think of and breakfast in the cafe is highly recommended! It's very central for coast & countryside so plenty to keep you occupied. Read more Hide

We spent our honeymoon here with our puppy and it could not have been more perfect. The staff at the adjoining shop/cafe were so friendly and helpful, we would certainly recommend the Hideout to anyone.

We had a great time staying at the hideout! It was our pups first holiday away and we loved how dog friendly everyone was and how many little touches there were (e.g. some snacks on arrival, dogs walking kit, dog towels etc.) Paid extra for the hot tub which was definitely worth it!

I stayed for a week with my dogs and had a great time. The cabin is clean and comfortable with good linen and towels. I slept well on the comfortable bed and found the location peaceful. It is only a short distance from beaches, nature reserves and country parks and a good pub the White Hart with lovely food and views. The owners were faultless, kiRead morend and friendly. Their shop next to the Cabin had lovely local produce and the dog friendly cafe a real bonus. As a solo guest I felt safe staying at the Hideout and the dogs enjoyed it too in a safe secure pretty garden that has pebbles and a grass area. A good get away from it all place to stay. Hide
