This beautifully decorated and recently refurbished property with a kitchen courtyard and garden would be ideal for families or couples looking to explore the Kent countryside. Set in the charming village of Benenden, this property is within walking distance of the local community shop/cafe and pub. Keen walkers will enjoy exploring the many local footpaths nearby whilst walkers and cyclists can enjoy Hempsted Forest. Sissinghurst Castle and Garden, created by poet and writer Vita Sackville-West and the market town of Cranbrook, are within a 5-mile drive, with Cranbrook offering a fine selection of independent shops and cafes. Tenterden, known locally as the "Jewel in the Weald", has many shops and eateries and the Kent and East Sussex Railway, where you can hop on a steam train and enjoy the scenery. There are local vineyards offering tours and tastings locally and if you’re looking for a sandy beach, head for Camber Sands, 18 miles away, with its 7 miles of golden sands. Historic Rye with its famous cobbled streets, is a 15-mile drive and is an excellent location for some antique shopping and it also has a digital Kino cinema.

This property has been tastefully furnished with comfort in mind whilst retaining many features including original beams and brick-work flooring. There is a stunning inglenook fireplace in the lounge with a gas flame wood burner, heat at the flick of a switch with no fuss, and the ground floor has under floor heating throughout. There is a large sofa and two wingback armchairs and a Smart TV in the lounge and the dining room is spacious with a non-working feature inglenook and armchair for comfortable reading. The kitchen is stylish with flagstone flooring and a separate utility/cloakroom with a WC. From the hallway, which houses a roomy coat and boot cupboard, the stairs lead up to the first floor where there are two bedrooms, a super king-size and a king-size which can be split into two 2'6 single beds. The stylish shower room is on this floor, the stairs to the attic second floor bedroom are steep with narrow treads and there is a good-sized rope handrail. The third bedroom has a small double and far-reaching countryside views.

Outside, there is an enclosed small kitchen courtyard with a bistro table and two chairs and to the side of the cottage there is a large garden, laid to lawn with fruit trees and garden table and chairs, perfect for outside dining, with countryside views over the hedge.

My wife, daughter and I had a wonderful holiday at Corner Cottage. And walking distance to the community shop and lovely local pub. Highly recommended.

Corner Cottage was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and furnished, and had very comfortable beds. Walks from the front door, and the location was perfect for visiting Sissinghurst, Bodiam and Scotney Castles, Rye etc.

We had a wonderfull week in this nicely located sharming cottage. Good equiped kitchen so you can cook or go to the local pub which is on walking distance. The house is big enough for the 4 of us. Walks can start at the public footpath just around the corner. The neighbourhood is splendid.

It was a delight to stay in this beautiful period cottage. We made good use of the local pub (The Bull) and wish we had booked for longer. There is so much to do in the area and cant wait to return.
