Biddenden is a traditional English village full of charm and character with cobblestone streets, village shop and post office, barber, a tearoom, and a Michelin Starred family run restaurant. There are two excellent pubs, both providing food. The area is dotted with rolling hills, orchards, and beautiful countryside, making it an ideal destination for nature and history lovers, hikers, and cyclists. It is well connected for business with rail services to London from Headcorn in under 1 hour. Further afield lies the market town of Tenterden (7 miles) with its operational light railway, Sissinghurst Castle (4 miles), Hole Park (7 miles), and Scotney Castle (14 miles). For wine lovers, there are several local vineyards, producing award-winning English wines, ciders, and jucies including Biddenden, Chapel Down, Gusbourne, Balfour and Herbert Hall. The Kent and East Sussex coastline is accessible, making this the perfect base to escape and enjoy this stunning Kentish retreat.

Newly refurbished character barn in the heart of the picturesque Kentish countryside between Biddenden & Frittenden. Immerse yourself in the rustic elegance and contemporary comforts of this character barn offering a romantic haven for two or a small family. It has been cleverly designed over two floors on the site of the farm’s old apple store room and stall where fruit was sold on the roadside. Step inside the welcoming ground floor kitchen and tastefully decorated dining area, which has hooks for coats and space boots. Under the stairs provides a tall storage cupboard and houses the washer dryer. The stylish, well-equipped kitchen and oak beamed dining area (seating up to 4) with French doors overlooks the patio and private garden. The cosy armchair and coffee table provides a calming reading spot. The oak staircase leads to a small landing with a useful desk area. There is high speed Starlink satellite internet in the property with typical speeds of 150MB+. The landing leads to the comfortably furnished sitting room with a large sofa bed, air conditioning, a Smart TV with a Roku Stick and DVD selection. The partitioned bedroom area has a sumptuous king-size bed with oak recessed shelves, a hanging rail, chest of drawers and a full-length mirror. You can also enjoy a lie in thanks to the blackout blinds throughout the top floor. The contemporary bathroom has a good size marble effect walk in shower. Attention to detail in this property shows a lovely, relaxed style and character throughout, making it a perfect bolthole to unwind after a great day out.

The south facing garden has a patio, 4 seater dining table and charcoal barbecue for outside cooking with easy access into the kitchen through the patio doors. The garden is laid to lawn with young fruit trees and is securely fenced.

Great place to stay, perfect location to explore (Hastings, Camber Sands, Rye, Battle etc). People are really friendly and the owners are really helpful. Cottage is clean, everything you would need is there. It's the perfect place for me and Boris (my dog). We've stayed there twice so far and booked again in May 2024.
