This stunning detached cottage is located on the border of Tankerton and Whitstable, meaning it is perfectly situated for exploring all that the local area has to offer. Tankerton beach is just 500m away and being slightly quieter than neighbouring Whitstable makes it ideal for families. Tankerton also offers a lovely selection of shops, cafes, restaurants and even a microbrewery to explore. Neighbouring Whitstable is only 1 mile away and is perfect for keen foodies with its wide array of places to eat and drink. Why not enjoy a visit to Whitstable Castle or follow the Crab and Winkle Way from Whitstable to Canterbury, or take a bike ride along the seafront to Herne Bay (5 miles). Visitors can also enjoy a variety of water sports including windsurfing, kite surfing and sailing, and for those seeking a spot of heritage, Canterbury is just 7 miles away and is the home of the country’s oldest cathedral and the perfect place to enjoy some history and culture.

Step into the hallway where there is space for hanging coats and dropping off buckets and spades before heading into the warm and cosy lounge/diner which overlooks the garden. Relax after a busy day at the beach on one of the two comfy sofas, settle down to watch a film on the Smart TV or curl up in the rocking chair in the reading nook with a good book. The dining area comfortably seats six, making it ideal for mealtimes or an evening of family board games, and the adjoining kitchen is well-equipped for all your culinary needs. Completing the ground floor is a snug with a full-size single day bed and a Smart TV. Perfect for teenagers who would like their own space or for multi-generational families, as this room also benefits from an en-suite shower room. Heading upstairs, there are three bedrooms: a king-size bedroom, a twin bedroom, and a bunk room, and completing the first floor is the family bathroom.

Patio doors from the lounge lead out into the fully enclosed garden which has a lovely beach theme and patio furniture. Enjoy a spot of outside entertaining, or just kick back, relax and soak up the sunshine.

We had a fabulous stay over May half term during the recent heatwave. The cottage was welcoming, comfortable, spacious and cool! Its positioned nicely between Tankerton and Whitstable (and an easy walk to both) where there is lots to see/do/eat/drink. We loved the seafood! A car parking space out front is super useful (with lots of places to see wiRead morethin a short drive) and there was nothing the house didnt have. My teenager adored the downstairs den but I can see how well this would work for an elderly or infirm relative too. All in all, we had a fabulous week - visiting Canterbury by bus, Margate by train, Dover Castle and Deal by car and Whitstable on foot. Knowing we had this beautiful property to come back to in the evening was simply joyful. Wed stay here again for sure. And my dog is a big fan of the Tankerton slopes. Highly recommend! Hide

We thoroughly enjoyed our week away. The response to a minor problem was dealt with faultlessly despise it being on a Sunday! We would certainly return.

Rose Cottage is in a fantastic location, an easy walk to Tankerton which has quite a lot of useful shops and also close to bustling Whitstable. The house was very well prepared for us and was very clean. It looks as it has been recently redecorated and the seating area has comfortable settees. The bathroom and shower room are newly refurbished. TRead morehe area around Rose Cottage is very quiet and parking was easy, one car could be parked off road and there was never a problem finding a space on the road for our second car. Rose Cottage is a wonderful location for a holiday. It is close enough to Whitstable town to allow easy access but far another away to be a quiet and peaceful base. We loved Tannkerton and enjoyed exploring the area, coming back to a warm and comfortable house making it even better. Rose Cottage was clean and tidy, spacious enough for six peoplRead moree and a dog to relax and have fun with a range of areas both inside and out to do this in. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us, we had a great time. Hide
