This cosy 1930s cottage has been lovingly updated for modern style and convenience, and is ideal for couples, friends or small families looking for a seaside getaway. Dymchurch’s long, sandy beach is less than 0.5 miles away. The long promenade is popular with walkers and cyclists. The village has cafes, several pubs and a children's amusement park. New Romney, Hythe, and Rye are all within 14 miles, offering history, shops, galleries and an array of places to eat and drink. Folkestone just 9 miles away offers a high-speed train to London. It also has the Harbour Arm, built from the former ferry railway station with a re-imagined public pier – a very popular place for food, drink and entertainment. A must-do during a summertime stay is a trip on the Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Miniature Steam Railway, which passes the end of the garden – it’s a great way to see the delightful Kent countryside, and the station is less than 0.5 miles from your front door. Visit Dungeness, 10 miles, with its RSPB nature reserve and the renowned Derek Jarman’s House and Garden, or go on safari at Port Lympe, 6 miles.

Kick off your sandy shoes inside the door of this single-storey property and head into the quaint sitting room, with a wooden floor and splashes of vivid colour – offering a comfortable home from home. You’ll find plenty of books and board games to keep you entertained, as well as a TV with DVD player for a favourite movie. The pretty kitchen/diner has a farmhouse-style table, and a beautifully restored, ornamental Rayburn cooker – the chef of the holiday will have everything they need to hand. From here, you can access the handy boot room, ideal for storing shoes and outdoor gear. When bedtime beckons, there’s a double bedroom at the front and a single room overlooking the back garden, both decorated with great charm and boasting traditional metal beds. Completing the property is a well-appointed family bathroom with a bath, handheld shower and WC.

For fresh air and outdoor dining, the enclosed garden, with a lawn and patio overlooks farmland and rural views of Romney Marsh. It is a real suntrap and the ideal spot to sit back, relax and recharge. During the summer months and school holidays you can wave to the miniature steam trains as they pass by. The Bungalow has been renovated to an extremely high standard and deserves the best to keep it that way. It is immaculate and not only a pleasure to be there but a privilege that Richard and Diane feel able to let it for a holiday home. Fully equipped with high-quality items. The area is quiet and restful with the added bonus of the RH&& Dymchurch Read morerailway at the bottom of the garden.
