A very well presented cottage, plenty of footpaths and trails to explore the local countryside, a variety of good pubs and restaurants either walking or driving distance away. Cottage is close to the road but it is quiet and does not intrude. Great views across the vineyards from up on the footpaths.

We had a lovely stay at Darnley Lodge, the cottage was perfect for the two of us and our dog. It was clean and well equipped, the instructions to find it were very useful. We visited the Cellar Door that was a short walk away and the wines were excellent, we hope we can return in the summer and enjoy more walking in the local area.

We had a great few days at Darnley lodge. The property was clean and comfortable, well equipped with everything you might need. Becky was a great host, we had an issue retrieving the keys on arrival and she came to our rescue straight away! Its a lovely location, with a pub just down the road and lots of nice walks nearby.

Darnley Lodge proved to be a wonderful home from home for the fortnight we enjoyed in the beautiful county of Kent. The owners have gone to great lengths to equip the Lodge with everything you might need whilst away. In our experience this is quite rare, so they are to be congratulated. All of the furnishings and equipment are of a very high standaRead morerd - theyve got better wifi and a bigger better and smarter tv than weve come home to! Luddesdown is a quiet rural are which is well connected to the amazing network of motorways and A roads that Kent has, which enable you to explore the county efficiently. Our highlights were Rochester, Chatham Docks, Chartwell, Hever Castle, Reculver Towers plus seaside visits to Whitstable and Ramsgate as well as Minster On Sea on the Isle of Sheppey. As well as providing a lovely holiday home, with a comfy bed, the owners even left us a great welcome gift of locally produced Sparkling Wine and a box of biscuits. Cheers and a big thank you to Becky and Matt. Well be back! Hide

A beautiful converted dwelling with everything you need in Luddesdown Kent surrounded by country footpaths on the Silverhand Estate Vineyards. Thank you for the complementary bottle on arrival to Darnley Lodge. We left with 4 bottles purchased. We enjoyed sitting at the kitchen on the stools and the luxury sofa. A very high standard kitchen with evRead moreerything you need alongside the living room. We enjoyed the history Gravesend of book and a few other history books to read too! Heading upstairs, having the big top window and velux window with blackout blinds were great and for air to flow through the place. A lovely shower to wash away the busy hot days out and about on return. A great night sleep in the quality bed too. 5 stars for a great little hidden find for anyone looking to stay in Kent. Dont look any where else. A great bit of space for parking and for sitting out with your table and chairs provided. Our Fox Terrier was a fan of Darnley Lodge. Thanks again. Hide

It was a privilege to be the first guests to stay at Darnley Lodge. It nestles in a quiet village, Luddesdown, near Cobham, and is very peaceful. It has been tastefully designed and finished to a very high standard. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped, and the shower wonderful. Becky made us very welcome and was really helpful. We thoroughlRead morey enjoyed the week which we spend exploring the area visiting four National Trust properties and the Historic Dockyard at Chatham, amongst other things. There are plenty of good pubs in the area for meals, including The Lion, which is about 100yards from the Lodge. We were also tempted into tasting the locally produced wine, about 150 yards from the Lodge. We thoroughly recommend staying at Darnlery lodge!! Hide
