Nestled in the heart of Broadstairs, a short walk from the beach, this delightful period property which would suit a family or group of friends looking for a coastal getaway. Broadstairs itself is a vibrant seaside town on the Isle of Thanet and is jostling with shops and eateries, as well as being home to the Dickens House Museum (0.5 miles) overlooking the nearest beach, Viking Bay (0.5 miles). There are many other bays in this part of Kent from which to choose; Margate Beach (4 miles), with its tidal swimming pool and the Turner Contemporary nearby, is a popular choice. If the weather is poor, take a trip to Revolution Skatepark (1.3 miles) in Broadstairs which has an indoor climbing centre as well as all the skate facilities.

The sitting room is the first room you encounter as you enter the property; here you will find ample comfortable seating and an ornamental fireplace adds homely warmth. The kitchen has plenty of natural light streaming in from the utility room which leads out to the garden, and in the dining room there is space for dining as a group as well as extra seating. The bathroom and cloakroom are both on the ground floor as well. Stairs lead to the first floor where you’ll find a double bedroom with washbasin to the front of the property, and a twin bedroom and a separate single bedroom to the rear of the property overlooking the garden.

Leading out from the utility room is the long garden, typical of these period terraced houses. The patio area is perfect for dining alfresco and socialising into the night and here is a BBQ for feeding the family after a day at the beach. You can use the shed to store bikes or any other outdoor gear you need for your holiday.

Lovely house - well positioned for the train station, town and nice 10 min walk to Viking Bay. House is nicely decorated and stocked with all amenities we needed - our daughter (6) loved the childrens toys and book collection. We had a great holiday and would definitely recommend

Lovely comfortable, homely accommodation. Whilst some of the furniture was a little tired everything was immaculately clean. Excellent kitchen equipment and the utility room was a really good bonus. Whilst the weather prevented our use of the pleasant enclosed outside space, we could let our two dogs roam with confidence knowing they were safe. Read more The property is within easy walking distance to Broadstairs High Street and the beach area. The only downside of our stay was an issue with parking. Whilst there is a shared drive, it is very tight and suitable for small cars only. There is on road parking, but, the property being close to a railway station, available spaces are very limited during the day. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the owners efforts in providing pleasant accommodation. Hide
