The location of the cottage is good as a base to visit various National Trust sites, other local towns and villages and for those who like walking there is plenty of walks around. The wooden stairs from the kitchen to the snug however are steep so need to be careful when using these!! The garden was lovely including seating both in the front and back gardens ! Great village location and the surrounding area is very picturesque. We parked in the free car park as recommended, with no problems, and it was quick to reach via the garden gate.
