It is an easy drive from the scenic Sussex countryside, with plenty of footpaths and local pubs for keen walkers to discover. Head to the villages of Ashburnham or Dallington, both within a mile, and boasting plenty of independent shops, restaurants and cafes. The must-visit attraction of Battle Abbey is 6 miles away and is famous for the battle that took place there in 1066. Take a stroll around the battlefield and Battle Woods. Keen walkers and National Trust enthusiasts have plenty of choice with Bateman's only 6 miles and Bodiam Castle 13 miles. The historic house and renowned gardens of Great Dixter are just 16 miles away. Otherwise, head to the coast at Bexhill and the De la Warr Pavilion, only 14 miles.

This is a gorgeous rural property, situated on 12 acres of countryside, and is one of Thornden Farm's original outbuildings. It has been lovingly restored, while retaining many of its original features. In the cosy lounge area, pop a log on the wood burner in the inglenook fireplace and curl up on the plush sofas with a book and a warm drink or catch up on your favourite box set on the Smart TV. Behind the lounge area is the kitchen, featuring pretty tiling on the wall and all the appliances needed to create a late brunch or a romantic dinner. Sit together at the wooden table to dine, thoughtfully placed next to the window so you can enjoy the view outside. The double bedroom is a haven for those looking to catch up on sleep after a busy day exploring the Sussex countryside and coast. The bedroom boasts a beautiful en-suite shower room.
