This spacious house is a lovely base for family or group seaside getaways, located near the main beach of the vibrant Kent seaside town of Broadstairs. Spend a day on Viking Bay (0.2 miles), where there’s lovely sand, rides for the children, surf schools and a cliff-top promenade for the adults. Work up an appetite to sample the local pubs, tea rooms and retro ice cream parlours. You can browse independent shops, see the Dickens House Museum based on the author who used to holiday here and let the kids have a go on the penny arcades. Fancy a day out? Tour the other beaches and seaside towns in the area, including Ramsgate (2 miles), which has a yacht-dotted marina and seal-spotting boat trips.
Back at the house, settle into the relaxing, ground-floor sitting room, with its bright walls, large windows, plenty of seating and a cosy wood burner. There’s plenty to entertain, thanks to the 40-inch TV with Netflix access, soundbar and Blu-ray player. The kitchen feels rustic with its wooden floors and units, farmhouse table with eight chairs, wall tiles and open fire. The ground floor is complete with a WC in a cloakroom, handy for when you’re socialising. Steep stairs lead to the first floor, where you'll find two twin bedrooms and a bathroom with a wood-panelled unit, soothing wall tiles and a shower over the bath. A steep, winding staircase leads to the second and final floor, home to the sea-view double bedroom featuring an en-suite shower room.
The enclosed courtyard has garden furniture and a BBQ.
