For a day at the coast, journey 30 miles to the waterfront city of Portsmouth, with its traditional naval pubs, seafood restaurants, seaside attractions, water sports, and boat trips.

The self-contained annexe has its own private entrance and is located next to the owner’s home. The holiday retreat has a spacious, open-plan layout with a high ceiling and a calming colour scheme. The main living area is bathed in natural light through the window, skylights, and patio doors. To the rear of the room is a stylish kitchen area for preparing romantic dinners, which you can share at the breakfast bar or at the cute table for two. In the evenings, snuggle up together on the sumptuous sofa to watch a classic film on the TV. When it’s time for bed, retire to the cosy double bedroom for a good night’s sleep. A lovely little bungalow cottage, perfect for our needs, set off the road and in an unexpectedly rural location, which was a bonus for us, as the surrounding countryside is beautiful. Only a few minutes from Hindhead and the Devils Punch Bowl, which is a stunning location for walking with or without a dog. Other nearby places we enjoyed were LudshoRead morett Common, and due to visiting during a heatwave, we appreciated the shade of Waggoners Wells. We werent visiting for the tourist attractions, only because we were on a dog training course nearby. We didnt realise Hindhead and its environs had so much to offer. Wren Cottage is an ideal base from which to explore. Hide
