Fabulous place to stay - beautiful half-tiled Sussex weald house with spacious, light, airy rooms in a beautiful tranquil setting - lovely gardens with rhododendron, azalea, roses, pansies and many other flowers, on a quiet lane, with views over a vineyard opposite or the owners' garden behind, private woods to walk in, and everything we could haveRead more needed provided. It was lovely to be welcomed with homemade cake and apple juice from the owner's orchard. It was very hot while we were there, but the house remained comfortably cool and airy, and there was always some shade to be found outside. - on the patio or in the lovely garden in front of the house. Staplecross is within near reach of lovely gardens like Great Dixter and Sissinghurst, as well as beautiful towns like Tenterden and Rye, so very well situated. Beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped. The owners were away when we first came, but were very friendly and helpful when we met them on their return. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope we will be able to return some time, as many previous guests seem to have done. Hide

Lovely cottage in a nice quiet area. Lots of very nice national trusts to visit. Liked the upstairs lounge for the views. Good to have the owners next door if any problems. They were very helpful when needed.

Just spent a week at Wisteria Cottage, we had a great time, owners welcoming, and next door if you needed anything. The welcome goodies were very much appreciated. Everything we needed was on hand. Plenty of cooking utensils, if like us you cook most of our meals. Beds really comfy, no trouble sleeping. Ideal location, especially for National TrustRead more properties.
