This stylish seaside cottage is situated right on the beach at Pevensey Bay, with its quiet, shingle beach, it is ideal for sailing, swimming, or a spot of fishing. Just a short drive from the property, is the village of Pevensey with a range of pubs and restaurants, its striking castle, now an English Heritage site and the Sovereign Harbour Marina, a great place for a spot of lunch whilst admiring the wide variety of boats moored up. Further along the coast, are the towns of Eastbourne and Bexhill-on-Sea. Eastbourne offers a wide choice of theatres hosting many West End shows and the Towner in Eastbourne, is a stylish contemporary art gallery and is not to be missed. For families, the Sovereign Centre fun pool, Treasure Island, Knockhatch Adventure Park and Drusilla’s Zoo at Alfriston all offer great family days out.

There are a number of steps that lead you up to the front of the property where you enter into a welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where there is space for dropping off sandy shoes and hanging coats. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is light and airy enjoying fantastic panoramic sea views. The kitchen area is well-equipped for family entertaining with an electric oven and hob, fridge with ice compartment, wine cooler, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and washing machine. Relax at the breakfast bar or move to the lounge area which offers the perfect place to snug in on the comfy corner sofa (which can be made into a sofa bed on request) and catch up on your favourite programmes on the Smart TV, listen to the DAB radio or play one of the board games. The dining table with seating for six overlooks the rear beach garden and the wonderful views beyond. There are two bedrooms, a double with TV, an en-suite wet room with WC and a super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made into a twin on request). The property is completed with a bathroom that has a shower over bath and WC.

French doors open from the lounge area out to a beach garden with table, chairs, firepit and BBQ, the perfect spot for al fresco dining or enjoying a spot of star gazing in the evening. The garden gives direct access to the beach, and there is a selection of beach toys to keep everyone entertained. At the front of the property is private parking for two cars.

A lovely base to have to explore the area with everything you could need provided. Limited places to walk a dog other than the beach with is pebbles except at low tide which was our only disappointment.

We had a fantastic stay with fantastic weather. We love the view and the beach walks with our dog were a highlight.

We had a great holiday in this very clean and well equipped house. Everything was thought of, and everything was in very good condition. We have been to Pevensey three times now and we are considering coming back next year to this lovely house.
