Alternatively, hop in the car and head 8 miles north into the Kent Downs National Landscape, or 8 miles south to explore the High Weald National Landscape. Both are vast, with incredible scenery to pursue. Round off the day with a well-earned meal at the pub in the pretty village of Bethersden (2.5 miles).

Admire the stunning A-frame facade of this unique property as you step up to the decking and into the open-plan studio space. Wissenden lodge was just perfect for our stay it made a perfect base to be near all the properties we were looking at in our search for a new home . The lodge had everything we needed plus a lovely fresh made loaf of bread that was delicious also butter, milk, tea, coffee and a smalll bottle of elderberry cordial which Imogen the owner had made. ImogeRead moren came over to say hello on our first day very lovely lady, we had two small dogs with us and Imogen had put a basket out with towels, blankets.bowls for them which was a very nice touch. We had a great week at the lodge and would highly recommend it. Will be going back for another visit. Hide

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, delightful area with loads of walks. Beautiful outlook from the lodge and everything we needed within it, including some generous baking from the owner and some other goodies awaiting our arrival. Would go back like a shot.
