We stayed here as a couple for a two week break in February (2026). The property itself is absolutely stunning - a beautifully converted chapel that's been modernised to a very high standard while still keeping its character. It's a unique and special place to stay. However, there were a few issues that need attention. Unfortunately, cleanliness waRead moresn't up to the standard we expected either. Parking across the road in station car park. Secluded back garden. Great for familys and pets. Hide

The projector was a great feature but overall the stay was disappointing for 1000. The cottage wasnt properly cleaned (dead flies, smelly towels, blood stain on bed) and several promised items were missing (welcome pack, bin bags etc). TV and internet were poor even when weather was fine, the wet room grimy, and road noise and a neighbours securityRead more light made sleep difficult. Listing also wrongly states beach 5 miles away. Lovely place and handy how close it is to the train station (we don't drive). However, the main road is indeed extremely busy at all times (and I mean it, was walking my dog at 5am on a weekend and there already was light traffic then). Given that there is no walking paths available immediately from the property, you have to walk along on narrow paRead morevements and cross the road without proper pedestrian crossing etc. it wasn't pleasant. We were very impressed with the quality of the cottage but the downside was the road outside and the parking.

Lovely stay. Very clean. Big soft towels. All equipment you could want for comfy nights in. Shower room a bit of a pain if you just want the loo as the wet room floor stays wet for agesbut just use upstairs! Parking can be expensive at 6 per day in the station opposite. Handy walk to Battle.

Its a beautiful accommodation and the parking at the train station wasnt as bad as I was anticipating. Love the extra luxury of having a projector, it was a shame that the WiFi wasnt strong enough to watch Netflix through it but they have a selection of dvds, so bring some if you want to use it!

Lovely spacious, well equipped and luxurious cottage in convenient location for Abbey, shops and restaurants. Don't be put off by proximity to Battle railway station, you can't hear the trains and the station car park offers easy parking (25 for a week). Also great for visiting Hastings,Rye etc by train. The main road which runs past the cottage isRead more busy but wasn't a problem for us. A perfect base for 1066 country and the 1066 walk. Hide
