Located in the historic town of Faversham, within the conservation area of the Abbey and as such has been noted as one of the finest examples of a medieval street in Britain, where antique and craft shops, quaint tea rooms and old English pubs are in abundance. The town market is held every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Take a stroll to the nearby Brewery and tour one of England’s oldest breweries before sampling the delights at the home of the world’s largest fruit collection, there are also lots of dog walks around the area. The excitements of Canterbury are not far away, and the wildlife rich 'Oare Wildlife Marshes' is also within easy reach. Closer still is the pretty town of Whitstable, famed for its oysters and safe swimming spots and plentiful water sports.

The side door of this property opens straight into the cosy lounge with comfy sofas that you can curl up on in front of the wood burner and enjoy catching up on your favourite programmes on the Smart TV. From the lounge walk through to the formal dining room with a dining table and seating for six before entering the light and bright kitchen/diner with two sets of French doors out into the garden. The kitchen/diner offers everything you’ll need for whipping up delicious meals with an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. While cooking, chefs can chat to other guests sitting at the large farmhouse table in the dining area, where there is also a Smart TV. A traditional Rayburn keeps the kitchen warm and toasty and is the perfect spot for your four-legged friend to curl up in front of. Back through past the dining room there is a small library with an ample supply of reading material to keep you going whilst you curl up in front of the open fire on a chilly evening. The ground floor is completed with a shower room with shower and WC. Stairs from between the dining room and library lead up to the first floor where there are three bedrooms, a spacious king-size with an en-suite bathroom with a bath, shower and WC and two double bedrooms. We had a great family reunion Christmas at the cottage. It was well equipped with cookware and crockery and very warm & cosy. A very interesting house but sadly when we arrived and entered the property we noticed a very strong unpleasant doggy smell which was coming from the carpets and sofas. We messaged the owner the following day, Saturday, and although she had a cleaning company arrive Wednesday it was too late for us to use the living rooms, however the kitchen waRead mores lovely and the upstairs bathrooms. Beds were comfortable but it was strange that all the wardrobes contained all the owners belongings. Disappointed.

response from holidaycottages.co.uk Thank you for your review. The owner was pleased that could get the carpet and sofas cleaned during your stay, but sorry that this wasn't done sooner. We can confirm that the property has also been personally inspected by holidaycottages.co.uk

Lovely secluded location. Very comfortable beds, the bathrooms are spotless and in excellent shape. Great live in kitchen. Sarah was warm and friendly and this was reflected in her cosy little house.

Good location, but access is tricky due to a narrow path, making unloading difficult. Garden photos are misleadingit's overgrown, though the patio is a sunny spot. Downstairs is dark; we mainly stayed in the kitchen, which was pleasant. Lounge had a strange smell, and flies were an issue in two rooms. Cottage needs TLC and cobweb cleaning. OwnerRead mores belongings fill cupboards, especially in back bedroomsone wardrobe was unusable. The owner provided useful info about walks and places to visit.

Comfortable cottage in excellent location in old bit of Faversham. Great mix of old (really old) cottage and new extension with big family kitchen and modern bathrooms upstairs. Close to lots of good bars/restaurants and 10 mins walk to large Tescos. Well be back!

A really lovely house in a wonderful, centrally located setting. A large range of dog friendly pubs (even those that werent had outside areas you could eat and drink in with the dog); all of which had really high quality food. Beautiful cottage, close to amenities but very peaceful. Would recommend it. Hostess is lovely and happy to give plenty of tips on where to visit and eat. Plenty of space for all humans and dogs, yet cosy and comfortable.

Really nice place to stay. Very close to some great pubs and only a short walk to bakers, restaurants and supermarket. Nice quiet place, parking no problem and surprisingly big - the photos dont do it justice.

We were greeted by the owner, Sarah, who had brought flowers, Prosecco and eggs - just to start our holiday off. The property was cosy and warm and the log fires each evening were an absolute delight as it was bitterly cold while we were in Faversham. We returned home feeling totally relaxed and would definitely recommend it. Well done, Sarah. Hide

Cosy cottage in the heart of Faversham town. Plenty to see and do within easy reach both on foot or by car. Compact enclosed garden kept the dogs in situ. Street parking only by permit but never had an issue parking nearby.
