This spacious single-storey property is located on a quiet country lane in the pretty village of Egerton, a quintessential Kent village, with local pubs, and pub restaurant, the owners live in an adjacent barn. Take a short drive to the village of Headcorn (5 miles) with a good range of shops and a mainline station with a regular 1-hour journey to Central London, also the market town of Tenterden (9 miles away) with its independent shops and cafes and a steam railway terminus or visit Leeds Castle for a great family day out. An ideal location for keen gardeners with Sissinghurst Castle and Gardens and Godinton House within a short drive from the cottage. Keen walkers will love the numerous local footpaths across the beautiful Kent countryside passing through local fields and orchards and surrounding farmland to neighbouring villages where you can stop off at the village pub for a spot of refreshment (please note that there are no pavements from the property only footpaths through fields).

Enter through the front door which opens into the large welcoming hallway, with a multi games table (foosball, table tennis) then head through to the spacious lounge which has a large l shape comfy sofa and armchair for curling up on after a busy day and a Smart TV for catching up on your favourite programmes. Double doors from the lounge lead into the large conservatory, with underfloor heating, which is the perfect place to gather the family together for evening meals around the large dining table or to enjoy a spot of afternoon tea with a good book in the relaxing seating area whilst soaking up the sunshine. A door from the conservatory leads back through into the well-equipped kitchen which has everything you may need for whipping up delicious family meals and a dining area with table and chairs for enjoying morning coffee. There is a handy utility room with washing machine and tumble drier also there’s a cloakroom with a WC. Heading back through to the entrance hall a corridor leads to the four bedrooms, three doubles and one twin, all bedrooms have underfloor heated ensuite bathrooms with baths and rain fall power showers and Smart TV.

Incredibly helpful and lovely owners. Lovely well equipped house with very comfortable beds and good showers. Lots of room for a party of eight over three generations. Excellent secure garden for our two dogs. We certainly would love to stay again. Thank you Faye and Barry for a lovely holiday, its a shame that the weather was so wet so we couldnt Read morewalk in the local surrounding area as we had planned, but look forward to doing so next time. Lovely accommodation in a very peaceful setting. Great for a large group. Hot tub was well used as was the games room. Plenty of public footpaths within a few minutes walk from the cottage and numerous pubs within a short driving distance with excellent food e.g. The Rose and Crown, The Pepper Box Inn. Most enjoyable long weekend.

The house was brilliant - incredibly spacious, lovely facilities (including rainfall showers, ensuites for every bedroom, pool table, hot tub) and lots of places to spend time together. We also loved the underfloor heating! The owners were kind enough to provide tea, coffee, bread as well. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Greenways is a beautiful and well equipped cottage. Faye and Barry were such welcoming hosts, we had a lovely time. Hot tub and games table were a great hit and we'd recommended the Rose and Crown for a culinary treat!

Lovely property, with probably the best level of equipment we've ever seen, pretty much everything you could need. Location is good in that it's easily accessible, peaceful and rural, with either side of Kent about 40mins drive, the only downside is we didn't think there was too much to do locally, other than Leeds castle (which we didn't rate, unlRead moreess you have young kids), which means you have to drive quite far everywhere you go. Excellent property but it is not possible to walk anywhere owing to the narrow roads & lack of footpaths.
