This property is situated in the quirky Little Chelsea area of Eastbourne, close to the main town centre and just a fifteen-minute walk from the beach. Little Chelsea is the artisan area of the town and prides itself on offering a good range of independent shops which are a world away from the usual high-street offerings. There is also a fantastic choice of coffee shops, restaurants, and bars all within a few minutes’ walk of the property. Those who enjoy spending time in the outdoors will love the fact that The South Downs National Park lies just to the west of the town, with Beachy Head easily accessible by a rewarding two-mile down-land walk.

A brick archway off the High Street leads down a path to the front door of this cottage, which opens directly into the property’s cosy lounge/diner. This homely room offers a comfortable sofa and chair for relaxing in front of the TV, and a dining area with table with seating four and an attractive original Victorian fireplace. Towards the rear, a door leads through to the kitchen where guests will find an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and washing machine, perfect for those who to prefer to cook at home. Steep turned stairs lead from the lounge to the first floor where the first of the property’s two bedrooms is located. This is a restful single room. The contemporary bathroom is also on this floor and offers a shower over bath and WC. A further set of steep stairs leads up to the main bedroom, a pleasant double room with plenty of storage space.

Outside, accessed through the kitchen, there is a sunny rear patio with garden furniture, providing a delightful space to enjoy al fresco drinks and meals. There is restricted roadside parking to the front of the property which would incur a charge but there is also free parking close by which is detailed in the folder at the cottage.

Excellent location! Cottage was. Adequate but in need of an upgrade of the bathroom and sofas. It was clean and beds were comfortable.

Very clean and well located cottage. Bedrooms very comfortable and living area adequate. Great for walking to the beach, theatres, restaurants and town centre. It was great not having to use the car.

Property was ok, difficult to find in the dark, comfortable enough for our Christmas break and lovely location, nice walk to beach and town centre
