Brighton is only a short drive away with its Royal Pavilion and a shopper’s paradise offering boutique shopping combined with fantastic places to eat and drink.

Step inside this property and enter into a hallway where there is space for dropping off muddy shoes and hanging coats, and then head on through into the light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with the most fantastic views across the natural woodland pond and wildlife. The kitchen area is equipped for family entertaining with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher and a breakfast bar with stools. Two small steps from the kitchen area takes you up to where you will find two bedrooms, a twin bedroom and a king-size with views across the lake and access to the decked area. The property is completed with a shower room with shower and WC.

French doors open from the lounge area out onto the decking with dining table, chairs and charcoal BBQ, perfect for toasting marshmallows whilst star gazing and wildlife spotting in the evening. A garden gate at the end of the front garden gives direct access to the local countryside footpaths. At the front of the property is parking for two cars. Weve had lovely week at Hillcrest Cottage. Very comfortable and well equipped with great walks directly from the property. We were lucky to get a few days of glorious sunshine and eating out on the veranda was a pleasure. Also in a good location for visiting National Trust properties, the coast and the South Downs

I took two of my grandchildren, (32 and 28), to this cottage for a weekend and we all loved it. So peaceful and the woodland comes right up to balcony of the cottage. The owners allowed swimming in their pool for two hours in the morning, an added bonus. Also there is a zip wire. My granddaughter had wonderful walks in the countryside on footpaths.Read more Last but not least Jessie the black Labrador is a delight. Hide

A delightful, tucked away place to stay. We want to see shooting stars during peak shower in mid Summer and were not disappointed by the much darker night skies there. The property owners, Jane and John, were very friendly and kind. We would definitely recommend this place, the local pub and the zipwire !
